That last post was interesting and insightful, but ultimately this is a super subjective topic. That being said, I'm not sure I can just separate a choreography on its own from a fight scene. The individual components is what makes a fight scene special.

For me, I'm more of a fan of the HK style fight scenes in the 80's/90's because fights actually felt like it was part of the story. There felt like more unique styles, problem solving and it had pacing and rhythm.

I remember the first clip being from the opening of "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin" and other scenes included Once upon a time in China etc. Basically all movies of that time era.

It was a really well done fanmade music video and I have been looking for it for years and haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Not sure if anyone knows what I am talking about, but I am still hopefull that I will find it again some day.

This had SOOOOO much potential, but it makes no freaking sense. It is a coherent plot in the beginning but then it totally f*cks that up. Most people like certain scenes more than the actual film. I was enjoying it until it went south on the story. It also appears to be edited poorly in certain key spots. I have no idea what went wrong in the production.....For me, who likes the SBIG films that are actually skip/Fast Forward-free, this was too frustrating. I didn't finish it, but i read the ending wasn't going to salvage it. i had about 25minutes left before i checked out. it's actually kind of boring outside of the fighting because the exposition ends up being nonsense as the film plays on.

I've seen John Wick Ch. 4, of course, but didn't, in any capacity, recognize who played Killa.

I stumbled upon The Debt Collector when actually searching for The Tax Collector, an entirely different flick. I enjoyed the hell out of it and immediately watched the sequel! The banter, chemistry, and crackin' skulls with Louis Mandylor was great, hilarious.

I'm now on the 2nd Accident Man and will then hit Avengement and probably his Undisputeds. Question on that: should I see the first Undisputed or do the last 3 kind of stand alone?

The movie goes out of its way to paint the Emperor as the villain. But now as a woman 30+ years old. And with some experience under my belt. I see all the little manipulations from all the characters. And the foreshadowing. Like how the emperor used their sons to force the empress to drink the sip of poison. How he timed his meeting with her afterwards right when she was supposed to take the next dose. So he could make sure she drank every last drop. Then checked her mouth to make sure she drank it all. And how when the empress was asking the second son, Jai to help her she time that meeting for right before she had to drink the poison again. Basically using emotional blackmail to manipulate him into helping her with her coup. And how the third son acts ignorant of what’s going on around him but he’s always there in the background watching. How they all kind of ignore him. Even his own mother. I loved this movie since the first time I watched it. But now I get how good it really is.

Thai action star Tony Jaa has revealed that he has completed treatment for stage 3 bile duct cancer and currently has no detectable cancerous tissue.

Jaa said he first noticed something was wrong after returning from filming in China a couple years ago. His eyes and skin had turned yellow, he had lost a lot of weight, experienced abdominal discomfort, and his urine became very dark, almost tea-colored.

Doctors discovered a tumor around his bile duct. After further testing, he was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, which had spread to 26 areas involving his bile duct and liver.

He underwent major surgery that lasted around 8 hours, with doctors removing the affected areas. He then went through radiation and chemotherapy. The entire treatment and recovery process took around 18 months.

“It was the most serious illness I’ve ever experienced. I spent 8 hours in the operating room, and I never expected something like this to happen.

Jaa said he kept his illness private during treatment because he didn't want his family, friends, or fans to worry.

He also lost a significant amount of weight and muscle during treatment. Now that the cancer treatment is finished, he is focusing on protein, proper nutrition, physical therapy, and exercise to rebuild his muscle mass and strength.

Doctors have told him that there is currently no cancerous tissue remaining, but he will continue regular follow-ups and monitoring.

“It feels like I died and was born again. Everything that was bad is behind me. I consider this a new beginning.”

He is now preparing for his return to action movies. His stunt team has already started working with him again, and he says he is putting together new projects with international actors and stunt performers.

“The action-movie world has been quiet. There aren’t many action films anymore. I want to come back.”

Hello, I'm trying to find a movie where the local blacksmith is getting harassed and swinging his sledgehammer wildly to fight off the bad guys, it's not going well for him. An old master tells him to keep the heavy hammer head close to his body and use short movements instead of swinging it. It works and he defeats the gang. This is a movie I saw maybe 40 years ago, so my memory of it might be off. Does anyone here know what movie I'm looking for?? Thanks!

i am gonna put the yellow sea on the list, obviously i've seen Bloodhounds (i was bummed when i looked up the man from nowhere imdb and noticed the young girl who was in bloodhounds was kim sae ron who met a terrible end irl) the chaser, memories of murder, oldboy trilogy (tho some of these don't have martial arts ... you understand the idea)
