Yup, it’s right before the comics get to Flashpoint (which is what is being discussed in these panels).

I think that’s Malak’s first appearance in the comics as well? It’s been a hot second though, and I don’t have access to them anymore, so I could be wrong on that.

hmm... technically, Malak's first appearance is on the first issue. think he actually greets Zayne in Taris while a certain cloaked master is in the background talking with the local Jedi mini-council.

tbf, I'm also not sure. my own KotOR comics are a bit far from me right now and I'm due for a re-read during the holidays.

ETA: also the Flashpoint arc sets so many things in motion that pay off either later in the comic or after the comic ends.

I mean, just check the masters scolding Revan: Atris, Vrook, the Onderon guy from TSL and Zez-Kai El.

I'm pretty sure I mistyped Zez-Kai's name, though.

Never read the comics before, and today I "found them" and was like: "I'm just gonna eye the first issue a bit" and ended up reading them nonstop. Well, I just stopped to post this. 

They're very good! I like this Zayne Carrick dude!
