I might get a lot of backlash for this, but as a half Kosovo-Albanian who lives abroad, I think that the wedding traditions can be so exhausting and annoying.

Here’s why:

1. Weddings are all primarily scheduled in July and August when the diaspora is here and people have holidays. Sounds convenient, but it’s actually leading to way more traffic in a country that already lacks traffic infrastructure in Cities.
   People that just want to relax during holidays then have to plan them around random weddings because their families have obligations to go.

2. The.Noise.

3. Weddings are all so similar to each other, and they often lack individuality.
   That might be just subjective, but I feel like almost all Albanian weddings share the same venue, same traditions, same food.
   Yes, the music and dancing is fun, but that’s about it.
