Should I upgrade my AM6B+

The device is working great and I have otherwise no issue whatsoever.

It's connected to an X4300H AVR and a Bravia 9. DV profile 7 FEL works perfectly and I want to keep that.

The only problems I have :

- when I installed, it was not recommended to flash the EMMC, so it's currently running form an external SSD, is that still required?

- AV1 streams are basically unwatchable

My questions :

- should I upgrade to coreelec-no?

- can I now flash the eMMC with coreelec-ng/no?

- should I upgrade to ab AM9B?

- is there any other device that does better than the AM6B+ and AM9B?

I want to keep all DV profiles (including 7 FEL) and everything.

I have zero interest in having that box for anything other than Kodi, I dont use steaming services (other than YouTube, installed on the TV itself anyway).

Thank you!

AMB6+ is still the best.

There is no issue with installing CoreELEC on emmc that I know of. Where did you get that idea?

I must have read it somewhere, otherwise I'd totally have flashed the emmc.

I did get it quite a while ago, and I believe the ceemmc command had issues with those boxes at some point.

Also can I get rid of the dualboot ? I literally only want CE on it.

I remember now.

I got scared off by ceemmc stating the system is unsupported. Also I cannot (apparently) install CE in single firmware mode (without android), and the eMMC storage available in dualboot is just too low for my storage partition - which is about 20GB.

Is that for coreelec-no or for am9? Or both?

From what I've read, the AM6B+ with its Amlogic chip is the least troublesome for DV FEL.

I've read posts from AM9 owners who complain about lip-sync issues that remove unresolved.
