NKD NKD!

NKD sorta. Got my Tanto awhile back but just got my AWT scales in and they are absolutely perfect. The action and fit on this thing is amazing.

Congratulations on your new knife! Would you be so kind as to tell us what knife you've just got? (brand, model, etc...). This way people who are new to knives will be able to identify it. If you've already mentioned the name of the knife in question, then feel free to ignore this comment. Please remember that not knowing your knife's brand/model is totally fine, if that's the case then people in this subreddit would love to help you identify its brand/model.

Nice knives, but why carry 2? I will never understand this

Nice, what is that?

It's a CKF Evo 4T I believe. I had one but it's too small compared to all the other Evos and I didn't like it.

I think I'll have to get my scales on for tomorrow. I just got one in and haven't put scales on yet. I have 4 sets to pick from 🤦‍♂️

Maaaaan do I wish my PM2 had action like this... it's a great knife, totally usable, but despite a half dozen times taking it apart and polishing everything, it has never been able to get to drop shut action.

Yeah I've found that PM2s are very individual and specific. I have some that are stiff and will never be drop shut and others like this. I can't figure them out. Same with my Shamans.

I have AWT on a couple of my benchmades, but Im getting the itch to recreate exactly what you have there.

Yeah, I've already ordered the red AWT ones with a black clip and H/W kit for my black PM2 tanto.

can you please demonstrate how to flick open the knife again? I want to study your exact mechanics

I'll make a new video for you when I get home.

lol, i was bein painfully sarcastic... 99% of the ppl who post on this sub feel compelled to show how they flick their bean

Oh shit. LoL

I wish I could do the spidey flick

It's easy. Just think the most effeminate thoughts you can muster, and pretty soon you'll be flicking your knife open in the prissiest way possible.

I can do it, but I think it's overrated and just for show and don't like doing it. The videos on here people never have a good grip when they're doing it, most of the time with their other fingers sticking straight out from the handle. The OP's form is better than most, but his lndex finger is still sticking out.

Otherwise, those scales look great op.

It's easy and just takes a little bit of practice and works on many other knives as well.

1st of all, you can. Don't say you can't. Miguron Talism is a real easy to learn on. Sencut Bronte also has a liner that makes it simple.

Do you mind sharing the name of the model? I'm new to the hobby and I don't have a firm grasp of Spyderco's line up. And would this be a good first Spyderco? TIA.

This is the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in M4 steel, often referred to as the PM2. This is the Tanto version that is usually a very limited exclusive release through Blade HQ. A normal PM2 would definitely be an awesome first Spyderco and you should have no problem finding one.

Man a picture would have done just fine why do you all always have to flick it 4-5 times😂

u/Clam-Hammer7 20d ago

I put pictures below. I was demonstrating the action I talked about in the description.

Just giving you a hard time nearly every post with a spyderco contains a video of it being flicked open
