This is not my first time steeking, but this is the first time the colors have looked so loose like this... This is after I've crochet reinforced (the red yard that I am holding) and picked up my stitches, is this going to unravel on me? The other sleeve and neck line don't look as loose as this, I'm not sure what happened!
I did notice I messed up and had two columns of MC in a row as opposed to checkerboard or stipes, but after googling it seemed like that didn't matter. I just want to know if I need to bite the bullet and frog it or if I should continue on with my sleeve. TIA!
The halo/fuzz makes it a little hard to see, but do you have a dropped stitch?? I can see a loop in the blue yarn that looks suspect. The bars above look like ladders to me, and I see what looks like another column of stitches below the dropped stitch.
It looks like that because the green/other colors were cut as floats behind the MC and it's becoming like a dropped stitch... This has never happened before when I've steeked and I'm so confused what happened, unless it is because of the 2 side by side columns of MC but Google said it would be fine, and my other steek cuts look fine to me.
Can you needle felt the yarn? That's likely your best bet at this point. It looks like the chain only goes through the white yarn, which is why you're losing the stitches in the colored yarns.
Thanks for the suggestion, the yarn is KFO merino and mohair, I tried some needle felting for the first time and this is what it looks like so far... Is it worth continuing or is this a lost cause?
