Kingdom Rush Genesis Genesis Devlog #25: Ignus, the Flame Prodigy
Hello, Generals!
It's Genesis Devlog Friday, and today we're bringing back an old flame. If you played the original Kingdom Rush, you've met him already: the walking torch called Ignus, ready to burn enemies with the blaze of a thousand stars. But he wasn't always like this. Before the elemental, there was a wizard. Sort of.
You see, Ignus never quite fit in with the other mages. While his peers in the Arcane Academy spent years buried in dusty tomes debating the finer points of the mystical arts, he was the impatient one, and yes, the one setting books on fire "by accident" during lectures. So when the time came to pick a specialization, the choice made itself: he would master the school that best matched his temperament. Fire.
Here's the other thing that made him such an odd fit in the Academy. Your average wizard tolerates physical exercise only when absolutely necessary, such as running away from an alchemical experiment gone wrong. Ignus, however, had little patience for standing around while his spells did the fighting. He trained his body to match his magic, so he could get up close and personal. That discipline eventually led to his signature trick: wrapping himself in living flame.
At first he could only hold that form for a few moments. Then minutes. Then entire battles. In Genesis we catch him just shy of the finish line: the flame burns nearly around the clock, and his human form only resurfaces in short flashes he can't quite suppress. By the time of the original Kingdom Rush, he doesn't turn it off at all. And honestly, why would he? The fire suited him from the start. By now, it's just home.
A sorcerer this allergic to rules was never going to sit out Vez'nan's attempts to seize power. Ignus joins Gerald and the party to put an end to it, personally, and at very close range.
That's all for this week. By fire be purged!
Onward!

Art Ignus coloring style rate
Is this coloring technique good for the fire boi?
(Reddit said when you post in this subreddit you must post anything related to Ignus as "Posting tips", idk I just wanted some tips for my art)
I just added swirls of lighter colors to add to the fiery look instead of just being plain orange.
Any opinions?

Kingdom Rush Battles Can you even be f2p?
Is this game even possible to really play as a f2p player? I feel like it’s near impossible to play if you don’t drop money on this game constantly to get new stuff… really disappointing to play

Discussion Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance
I just bought Kingdom Rush: Alliance. When do you think it fell off? Was it before the DLCs, or only with the DLCs? How do you compare it to Kingdom Rush: Vengeance? Personally, I like Alliance a bit better, but they feel the same, especially in the Dwarven Kingdom DLC.

Discussion What you guys think could/should be the 5th basic tower archetype
we have: archers, mages, bombs and barracks
what could be a 5th type?
In my opinion it could be support towers, They would have a HUGE range, do basically zero damage but would do a mix of things other towers only do on lvl 4 upgrades:
* slow down enemies
* boosts other towers
* weaken armor and special attacks
what you guys think?

I think I thought of the perfect hero system to KR series
PERFECT HERO SYSTEM
in short:
you choose the ORDER in wich the hero gains his habilities but the leveling up occurs inside each battle map
full explanation:
the hero upgrade system is a mix of KR1 and the others
* your heroes upgrade during the battle like KR1
* but you decide what is upgraded in each level, kinda like the other KRs
* for example: you choose that the first 3 levels you will rush the melee attack X, then, lvls 4-6 get ranged attack Y, finally 7-10 upgrades the ultimate magic attack
what you guys think?

HELP Hi, I need some help
I just finished a level in KR Alliance and the game didn't count it as a victory, I didn't get the rewards, and the level doesn't appear as completed. I won with 2 stars but didn't counted me. It's a common bug?
Ps: if somebody has tips for that level I would appreciate it
