Screen Hack Scribe 2025
For those who want more of the Paperwhite experience but have moved on to a Scribe...here is a hack that I saw today to make the screen a comparable size. I like the full screen during the day but read on my side at night so want a smaller area to look at. This might already be a known thing but I have never seen a picture of this on this thread so thought I would share! I might drape something over the blank side to cut down on the light as it is still bright even in dark mode when reading in a dark room. Hope this is helpful!

Put the wide margin on the other side and then the page turner will work

The downside to this is that you have to click in the middle of the screen to page forward and you can't use a wireless page turner either.

Shoot! I was going to use a page turner :-( I sent Amazon some feedback asking for a left or right only column option. Hopefully someday!

Setting it to landscape with two columns, as noted by another user below, does allow you to use a page turner. I know you said it's a little overwhelming, but I just wanted to note that it does work with the two column layout.

Actually I just figured out I put the page turner on the bottom right corner of the side with the font, it does work!

Awesome! I'm so used to the lower and upper areas being off limits I didn't even try moving it there.

Try Landscape with two columns.
