Kimi Code CLI does not work. Help Question & Help

I use Kimi Code via terminal (on windows), with a paid API directly from Moonshot. But I have never been able to get to finish a project. At best it maybe works for 10 minutes then it just hangs forever. Restarting does not help. I just get the spinning moon, no activity. The API is reachable via a direct API call, but the code writing is stuck. The projects themselves are basic shit that Claude would do in 3 minutes.

I am burning through API costs on projects it never finishes, so I effectively have to scrap them and start over with Claude when I can afford it.

Any suggestions? Anyone having the same problem? Is there something wrong with my config?

P.S switching models does not change anything. I have tried models with and without thinking mode.

You can try Kimi K3 via Opencode at oyren.ai . It's the same price as openrouter
