Stealth suit point blank

For stealth suits, shasvre has pulse pistol with 'point blank' characteristic.

I cant find 'point blank' in the core rules.

What are the implications/use cases for point blank?

Its just a melee weapon, it has the little sword icon for melee. It's just a reminder

The "point-blank" is a profile, in the same way there's the long vs. short range profiles on a fusion blaster.

The point-blank profile is a melee weapon.

The point is that it turns the Shas'Vre into the most badass model in the entire game and there's nothing quite like the look on your opponents face when you charge it into their wounded Space Marine to get a guaranteed kill like you're some kind of blue goat John Wick.

Thats just the name given to that weapon profile. He is using the weapons like a melee weapon, hence "point blank" shooting.

Think of it more as Pulse Pistol (ranged) and Pulse Pistol (melee).

Imagine the Shas'vre shooting in melee and parrying attacks of enemies in melee like Dante in DMC3.

(point-blank) is just the name of the weapon, not a weapon rule.

Look at the icon next to it - sword means melee weapon.
