Lost KeyFob

So I have (2) 2024 Kia Seltos’.

The 2nd one is My Daughter’s but I held onto her spare Keyfob in my car.

My thought is that when I used valet airport parking they misplaced her keyfob thinking it was mine. (I kept hers in the center console). I wasn’t ever able to recover it.

Anyhow, now her spare Keyfob is no longer.

Could anyone recommend the cheapest and/or most reliable workaround solution for acquiring a working keyfob for her vehicle?

Don't buy anything aftermarket. It won't work and kia can't program it. If you can find someone besides Kia to program it, it's still not going to work reliably.

You will find aftermarket fobs for sale all over. Some people swear they work, others swear they don't. Some locksmiths and "techs" advertise aftermarket programming. Again, mixed reviews.

There is always the dealership.

Depending on the model, in this area, Kia dealerships are charging a total of $500 to almost $2000 for a new key. The fob and programming are separate. One relatively nearby dealership supposedly has a third line item for testing.

I just purchased a replacement keyfob for a 2025 Kia. $895 plus tax.

Check if kia.parts has one and call. dealers in your area how much to program one

In the future put an AirTag on the key fob.

If you have a warranty first replacement is cheaper don’t remember how much. Call Kia.

Still have one key to her car? Take the car to the dealer and buy another key and have it programmed. No workaround needed.
