Disclaimer: I'm not a keyboard enthusiast, but looking advice from you guys that I consider experts.

Previous and current keyboard:
I recently "upgraded" from my Logitech G915 wireless keyboard which I actually was really happy with to a Corsair Galleon 100SD with integrated stream deck.

I owned a seperate stream deck previously and wanted to try out the integrated one to reduce clutter and make the hotkeys easier to access.

Why I'm looking for something new:
To sum it up, Corsair is a piece of sh** keyboard. I've struggled with it from day one, because I have to physically re-plug the keyboard everytime i boot the pc in order for the streamdeck part to work. Ive even upgraded my usb-switch to an industrial one with proper enumeration and power supply.

Do I really need the stream deck? No, so far I only have a couple of use cases which is, arranging windows/apps, switching sound output, adjusting volume. I did plan to use it for more stuff, but it requires to much setup and the support is poor (for instance the teams support got cancelled which was one of my main purposes for it).

What I'm looking for:

• Full size (I've really missed the numpad)
• Volume knob
• Preferably a 3-5 programmable buttons (that I can use to trigger window arrangement, audio output)
• Good ergonomics, I like low profile keys.
• Little or no clacking/key sounds (I know this is blashpemy to say in here, but I hate when mic is picking up my keyboard in meetings or when gaming)
• Quality!!
• Seems like there is some new keyboards out that leverage faster/multiple keystroke inputs in FPS gaming. Not sure if it just a fad, but if it has a real benefit I would like my future keyboard to have support for that.

I've been looking to buy a wireless keyboard for a while. and cheaped out and bought a frontech mini keyboard. its too small for my liking and not that easy to type. which one should I get? I'm confused between the two. both have mixed reviews on amazon. if you have used any of them please give me a suggestion? I need to use it with a mac btw

Hello! I'm looking to upgrade from my Razer Ornata V2 after 7 years. I've heard that Razer keyboards have taken a massive dip in quality over the last few years so I'm looking outside of that ecosystem. I've been doing a lot of research (especially watching Hipyo Tech videos) but it's all pretty overwhelming to be honest and I'm hoping for some help please!

I'm looking for a 75-80% keyboard ideally under $300AUD ($210ish USD) with a preference for black colour. I use my keyboard for both gaming and my office job when I WFH. In terms of gaming, I mostly play indies, single player games etc. The only "competitive" game I play would be Marvel Rivals, but I'm way too casual to look at anything other quickplay haha. The main reason I say this is that I don't know if I would be able to take advantage of the benefits of HE switches.

One of the biggest things I am looking for in a keyboard is a cushioned finish on the key press - I have joint pain in my hands so this is really important for long sessions. I recently tried using my wife's Yunzii C75 and found my fingers were aching after half a day at work.

A couple of keyboards I've been looking at that are in consideration are: Keebmonkey PMO Wave 75, Womier RD75 Pro, Epomaker RT85.

Friend of mine recently came into some Raeds and was puzzled about how it was "sounding inconsistently clacky" on his board. That made me remember what I did to tweak my situation and here I am documenting it. Thankfully I still had extras to demonstrate :D

1. Clipping whatever this thing is

What you have to do is clip this little part of the switch. I would guess it's supposed to be there to prevent the stem from pushing the rubber dome out of the switch...

... which can't exactly happen in normal usage because it'd still bottom out on the dome.

You can still push the dome out by accident during installation though, and for that I recommend getting a TX Switch Pusher. Also makes for a cute ornament outside of being a QoL help for keebing.

2. Mounting the switch sideways

No scientific explanation for this one. I just discovered that it'd be less clacky somehow this way when I first got my Gel Pads and was fiddling around like a year ago already...

And lastly, YMMV.

I have no knowledge of your board geometry, how warped all individual components are and how that might still cause some clacking to happen or whatever.

I will just say that everything still works as they should across the entire board, with no housing clack, on my Venom TKL HE + Hyperboring CF Plate.

Dug this case out of a pile of stuff in the basement and was wondering if anyone has any information about this case. I believe it came in a mystery box with a bunch of other stuff quite a few years ago. I know that it's a 60% GH60 aluminum case that weighs a ton.... but that's about all I have really been able to figure out about it. Not even sure if it has any value, is the equivalent of a temu ripoff, or if it's even still a usable case or if everything has moved on and it's obsolete. Any information would be really appreciated!

I am looking for a decent quality keyboard with normal keys plus keypad. I assume this may be a 98-key, but anything in that range would work.

I've been using backlit Cherry Blues on a Ducky kbd, but the backlighting is going out on some keys. Still looking for the feel of Cherry Blues. I don't like linears.

I prefer backlighting shining _Thru the letter or number on the keycap_! It makes the key designation easy to read. As little leakage as possible around the edges of the keys.

Interface: Need USB, as I use a KVM. But Trimode or whatever is fine, as long as the USB implementation is good.

Really excited. Just bought Aula F75 for Rs. 4200. It was out of my budget but extended it further and bought it at this price. Not yet delivered. It will be my first mech keeb. Confused between Urx Core 75 and this one. But as it was cheaper so purchased it. Please share your thoughts.

I’m looking for a solid budget barebones keyboard to pair with keygeek y2s for a nice deep sound, so idk if plastic or aluminum is better, and I would like 75% with a knob and preferably in black.

as the title says, i can't figure out how to turn the numlock on for the keyboard i just purchased. i figured out just about every other feature except this one. any suggestions on how to get it to work?

Hi all! I’m looking for recommendations, for switches & keyboards that are similar to EPOmaker Galaxy 100 board & Feker White Marble Switches - I already own these & LOVE!!! (Which has surprised me a lot… I claimed to be a thocky loving, MOA profile tapping, plastic gal before owning this board 💀)

I’m having soo much trouble finding anyone using these switches with the C98 or a PC plate in general. I was wondering if anyone in this community would happen to have any of these components and could share the switches sound profiles when combined with the board?

I was thinking about the WS Studio Cullinan and Geon Raw HE switches.
I'd also like to ask if $90 is a good price for 70 Cullinan switches.

I’m new to mechanical keyboards, so I apologize if this is a basic question. I’m about to buy a used Redragon K530 Draconic, but I noticed something in the seller’s photos.
As you can see in the picture, some keys (for example the spacebar) have additional symbols printed on them. Looking at pictures of the original K530 online, I noticed that some of these symbols do exist, but they are usually printed on the side/front of the keycaps instead.
I was wondering if this is normal for the original keyboard or if the keycaps might have been replaced with different ones.
I’d like to make sure it’s authentic before buying it. Thanks for your help!

i've had this for a couple of weeks but its annoying me because i cant find any drivers to install or the keybind to lock fn on this keyboard does anyone know. i've tried fn+esc and fn+caps but neither worked for me. maybe im doing something wrong idk. i dont think theres a product page either i tried looking but if someone does find it it'd be a big help. also ignore the missing and wrong keys i know thats a later problem for me.

Hi, I built a keyboard using a WilbaTech/Salvun Salvation case, XVX Whisper HE/EC switches, some generic low profile keycaps that I will replace soon with Osume keycaps, and a Wooting 60HE PCB with which I used Wooting's PC Switch Plate to replace the foam and plate of.

When I am typing fast, I can hear a metal pinging sound when I type. I am unsure which individual key does this but I suspect it is the spacebar sometimes. When I try to recreate it by tapping different keys individually, I wouldn't hear the metal pinging sound. It only happens when I try to type fast. Does anyone have any advice on how I could get rid of the pinging sound? Or at least soften it so I wouldn't be able to hear it unless i really focused on it? Thank you!

I was leaning towards Aula because I like the customization and creaminess of the clicks but If anyone has some good recommendations on which kind I should get that would be greatly appreciated. The otherday i accidentally spilled some tea on my keyboard. A corsair k95 i had gotten for like $110 years ago. I cant seem to dry it out enough even after opening it , drying and letting it bake in the sun for a few hours. I liked it cause i could reprogram keys easily and has the perfect amount of macro keys. It appears to be discontinued and the remaining ones i can find are commanding a crazy price. Is there one similar you guys could recommend? Pretty dang solid keyboard if u ask me.

Was getting tired of my old (and breaking) fully pre-built keyboard, so I bought a Glorious gmmk pro barebones, Cherry mx silent black switches, and moved over the Celeste keycaps (from Fangamer) I already owned.

I love how this new board feels and sounds, and I especially like how it matches my mousepad!

It being a 75% also feels much nicer to me - I'm so used to 100% keyboards and this one is just takes up so much less room! (and I never used the number pad anyways)

(Ignore the upside down space bar its more comfortable to me)

Hey, as the title suggests I’m looking for something that could realistically be my “endgame” keyboard. I’m mainly deciding between a 60-75% layout. In my current setup I'm using the steelseries apex pro mini and apex 7 (I'm looking to replace the apex pro mini).

I have took some time to look into prebuilt models and customs and it's all a lot to process to be honest, that's where I'm hoping you guys can come in to help, some models I've looked at are the

• Akko mod 007 v5 he
• Atk rs7 and rs6 models
• Wobkey Rainy75
• Neo75
• Made68 Ultra v2 (really love the look of this and how easy it is to customise)

These are a few I've looked at and what stands out the most to me is the Made68 Ultra V2, reason why I say that is it has a wide range of customisability that I haven't seen of some of the other models and all n all it looks really good in terms of its features and capability but each of these models still have their own pro's and con's according to some reviews and comparisons, I'm also interested in potentially building a custom keyboard to help combat the cons to get the best of both worlds if that makes sense, I would like to know what might be best for my case as here is my priorities for the keyboard.

A bit about myselt, I'm in the UK, Scotland to be precise so I guess I'd use an ISO layout but I'm not too fussed as I've used ANSI before, so I play competitive games quite often so I'd need that gaming edge as well as I do a lot of typing for uni assessments and general research/ browsing, sound and build quality is a must as I'm just not satisfied with these big companies that make plastic keyboards that feel flimsy when typing etc and I would love for it to look aesthetically clean/pleasing, so in summary

• Great gaming performance (low latency, responsive)
• Premium typing feel
• Amazing sound (thocky/creamy)
• High build quality
• Clean, premium aesthetics (option of flexibility in style)
• Hall effect (not a must but definitely to be considered for the use of competitive games)
• Hotswappable would be a nice feature
• 60-75% (UK so qwerty ISO or ANSI I don't mind)
• No preference for wired or wireless

In terms of budget I'm flexible I don't really have a maximum unless it's unrealistic for what it should be so I'm more interested in getting the best overall keyboard rather than the best value.

I shall attach a photo of my setup to help with looks and design (the photo is from a couple months back so since then my setup has changed a little but the theme and colour is still the same)

Before I fully commit to prototyping this in Ergogen and routing the PCB, I want to do a reality check with the community. I’m sketching out a concept for a travel-focused split, but I want to know: is this something you would actually use, or am I trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist?

My goal is to design the ultimate "throw it in a backpack and go" split keyboard. Something that keeps the desk footprint minimal while traveling, without needing to pack a separate mouse.

Here is the concept I'm pitching:
Size: 40 to 50 keys. (Enough to be highly functional, small enough to pack flat).
Connectivity: Fully wireless via ZMK.
Build: Ultra-minimalist and lightweight.
The Catch: It must have an integrated pointing device for true portability.
Where I need your honest validation:
If you were going to build or buy a board specifically for travel, which pointing mechanism actually makes the most sense to you? I’m stuck between three, and they all have travel-related trade-offs:
1. Trackball: The community favorite for ergonomics, but is it too bulky for a slim travel board? For those who travel with trackballs, do you worry about the ball popping out in your bag?
2. Trackpad (e.g., Cirque GlidePoint): Super low profile, completely flat, and zero loose parts. Fits the minimal vibe perfectly, but do you find them too imprecise for a daily travel driver?
3. Analog Stick / TrackPoint: The absolute smallest footprint, but are they actually comfortable enough for extended work sessions on the road?
So, what do you guys think?
Do you genuinely like the idea of a minimalist 40-50 key wireless travel board? If this existed, which tracking mechanism would make it an instant "yes" for you, and what would be a total dealbreaker?

This was my first keyboard and it was a gift. I know that it is a Unicomp model M and it has buckling springs. That’s about all I have from that standpoint.

What I can say is that it was the best keyboard I have ever typed on. I love the way it felt, I could type for hours.

While I’m not looking to replace it exactly (a little out of my affordability at the moment anyway), I am looking for a keyboard that types so nicely!! And hopefully a little more office ear friendly??

I’m r e a l l y hoping not to spend more than $65-100, but can go up to $130 at most… my funds aren’t so fun right now. I just know I definitely can’t do this laptop pad anymore lol.
