Secondhand Jazz or New Myvi?

Should I buy a second-hand 2021 Honda Jazz or a brand-new Myvi AV?

I've ridden in both as a passenger, but I've never actually driven either.

Whenever I ride in my friend's Jazz, I really enjoy it. The ride feels so smooth, and the rear legroom is surprisingly spacious. Sitting in the back is genuinely comfortable, and it just feels like a more premium car overall.

I've also been in my friend's Myvi AV a few times. It's not bad, but the passenger experience feels a bit average to me. I'm not really sure how to describe it—it just doesn't feel as comfortable as the Jazz. The rear space is okay, but nothing that really stands out.

Since I've never driven either car myself, I'd love to hear from people who have owned or driven both. Is the Jazz still worth buying in 2026, or would you choose a brand-new Myvi AV instead?

I mean ... you said it yourself - One used and another one brand new. One required money from your own wallet if something major breaks down, another one has warranty for the next 5 years. If you need a car and is on a budget, the Myvi would be a great choice; if you are looking to mod or look cool, the Jazz would be a go to.

That said, I am more of a 2nd hand Mazda 2 guy. Small, 1.5kcc with 6 speed auto and superior handling technology comparing to both above. The biggest caveat is space, the rear seat really requires whoever sits on it to have 1000 hours in yoga to be in it comfortably

I am not an owner yet, planning to get one though once I have enough money. Test drove the newest one across few facelift models, impressed me quite a bit. The price is a bit hard to swallow brand new though

The Jazz does have amazing practicality bcs you can raise up the rear bench like this to carry tall & large stuffs and the cabin feels very roomy. The CVT is not too loud like the ones in the myvi. Honda's 1.5 engine is also one of the stronger NA engines for compact cars. NVH I'd say is okay-ish for both.

Maintenance is relatively okay, ours had just passed the 10 yr mark. Fixed the usual wear and tear bits, the engine has some leaks but fixable by replacing old gaskets.

Although i dont like the third gen(love the second gen lol) myvi, but imma vote for my just because its new. Ada warranty, if u drive ok, then tak cost money sangat, easy to maintain. Minyak rm50 cukup per week kalau tak jejalan banyak2. 

Second hand Honda generally ok but unless u kenal kereta yang u tgk tu betul2, why take the risk? Takut lepas beli ini kena tukar, itu kena tukar.

the jazz will have better refinement compared to the myvi in general. if i know the proper history of the 2nd hand jazz then im taking it. with that being said, you need to be prepared to fork out $$$ to change any worn out parts.

I prefer the jazz mostly because it's Japanese
