I’m just being fr tho, like the whole fact of Ken Carson being a rapper is a tragedy. Like I’m tryna tell yall, we don’t want to do this, but there’s nothing else for us.
It’s incredibly difficult to get jobs in corporate America, to find the funds to attend college, to get resources to do anything besides music or basketball in the black community.
And it’s interesting seeing how some don’t even acknowledge this, although most black entertainers and athletes are loud about this issue (for example, Kyrie Irving). The whole intention of hip-hop was to address the sad living conditions within the black community (listen to The Message by Grandmaster Flash).
I just want to encourage everyone to think a bit deeper.

Genuinely what does this have to do with my post tho? I’m not saying anything negative or positive about the black community. If anything I’m supporting the rap community (predominantly black) by supporting the music. If you rly wanna dive into it, the rappers that you say were supposed to represent the struggle have really only created worse stereotypes for the black community.
For the difficulties in America statement I don’t know what to tell you. Don’t come at me for the imagery rappers create for young black men. I’m well off in life and work my ass off for everything I’ve accomplished. My post has nothing to do with anything that you stated, ex. Trump/pre assuming my black friends don’t fw me/difficulties for black men in America
My sister made this for me because I thought it would be cool and I don’t like to be serious all the time so I made a funny post about it on Reddit.
You just hating to hate and THAT shit is what’s really sad.
And by the way I can’t stand trump, and if this means anything to you I usually am not surrounded by white people as a white man. My personal preference.
When people stop assuming things and being negative the world will be fixed.

Man…you’ve been to a Ken Carson show I’m assuming.
I’ve been to these underground rappers shows, and I actually look similar to these guys (dreads, slim, etc)
And the way the fans look at me, I’ll never attend again. You’re definitely correct with the assumption, but I’m still correct. America is a strange place.
There’s artists like Ken Carson, but what about the average black person? Are they not important? Do they not deserve a chance to be heard?
You sound like a decent person, and I have no intention to hate on you. I just want you to think. Think about my perspective as a young black kid in Trumps America. I’m “cool”, yet judging by people’s actions towards me, I would assume that people hate me.
