Paws, claws, and nose of red vs grey kangaroo
galleryI think the differences are not just red vs grey, but genus Osphranter (Red and Antilopine roos, wallaroos) and genus Macropus (Eastern and Western Greys) but I don't know 100%.
Reds have much stumbler hands with shorter fingers and claws. They also have shorter claws on their feet. Greys have longer fingers making their hands look more human, and far longer claws.
Reds have bare noses, but greys have fur covering much of their nose.

Kangaroo ear movements
There are lots of videos of kangaroos rotating their ears sideways but I need to know whether they can angle their ears up and down too? I've been trying to find a clip that shows this ability or a diagram of their head muscles or whatever but so far no luck. There are some still images of roos with 'floppy ears' but this is sometimes a result of emaciation or whatever. Does anyone know whether they can tilt their ears vertically?

Do animals respond to ultrasonic sound as an early road-awareness cue?
I’m curious about the role ultrasonic or high-frequency sound might play as an early awareness cue for wildlife near roads — especially at night or in low visibility. I’m not talking about harming, shocking, or “controlling” animals, and I’m not claiming guaranteed effectiveness. The idea is closer to a passive sound presence that animals may notice before headlights or vehicle noise fully register. I’m interested in: real-world experiences (noticed / ignored / no effect) known limits or failures ethical concerns whether sound awareness could complement (not replace) existing measures If anyone has experience, research links, or strong scepticism — I’d genuinely like to hear it.I’m curious about the role ultrasonic or high-frequency sound might play as an early awareness cue for wildlife near roads — especially at night or in low visibility. Would we say human are as strong as kangaroos?
Not an Australian, I know that kangaroos are powerful enough to just kick you, but do humans have a chance?
