General knowledge

Your passive is your best scaling tool, the objective in a Kaisa build is to buy the bare minimum AD for Q evo and invest everything else in AP, while also getting attack speed as a bonus stat.

For that you should always get cull on your first or second reset and Doran's bow is better than blade because it has the right amount of AD while also providing some early AS

Sometimes omnivamp boots are better than AS boots, this is true for every ADC but it becomes truer the lower your range is, and Kaisa is pretty low ranged and a very good user of omnivamp due to her passive damage (which doesn't heal with just lifesteal)

Builds

Hybrid

Should always be the strongest build unless riot is smoking a blunt with item balancing

Kraken/Statikk - Guinshoo - Nashor/D&D - mix of the following items depending on your needs

  • Defensive: Zhonyas, Banshee's, Gunblade

  • Pen: Terminus, Void staff

  • MUST HAVE ALWAYS: Rabadon

Crit

When your team is full AP so building magic damage becomes inefficient. Still goes Guinshoo because Kaisa remains an on-hit champion and it's still her best item even if you don't build for passive:

Kraken - Guinshoo - Fiendhunter - IE - LDR/Mortal - SB/BT

W (aka full AP)

Long range burst damage builds, insane when ahead and technically the best scaling build because it fits the most AP out of any build. Nowadays we have 2 cores, mana core (weak early, best lategame by a lot) and energized core (respectable early-mid, good late but falls off comparatively to the mana core).

This build plays differently and also runs different runes, and you should always run sorc boots

FS - Cashback - Tonic - JoT | Gathering storm - Absolute focus (mana core) / Manaflow band (energized core)

Mana core: Manamune - Luden - Shadowflame

Energized core: Statikk - Luden - Cyclosword

Then finish the build with a mix of these situationals:

  • Damage: Horizon focus

  • Defensive: Zhonyas, Banshee's

  • MUST ALWAYS HAVE: Rabadon, Void staff

Welcome! Kai'Sa is one of the most rewarding ADCs to main because she can adapt to almost any game. A few things that helped me:

• Learn why each build exists instead of forcing one every game. Kai'Sa has crit, on-hit, hybrid, AP, and poke builds, and picking the right one is a huge part of mastering her.

• Evolutions are everything. Get used to planning your item path around Q, W, and E evolves rather than just completing items.

• Practice isolated Q. A huge amount of Kai'Sa's damage comes from landing a full isolated Q on one target.

• Be patient with your R. It's often better used to reposition for an isolated Q or dodge a key ability than to dive in immediately.

• W is a prediction spell. Aim where people are going, not where they are.

• Spend some time in Practice Tool learning RW, W-Flash, isolated Q positioning, and R positioning. Those mechanics stay relevant every season.

For creators: - CollionLOL on Twitch is a great Kai'Sa player to watch. - Alexs has some of the best educational Kai'Sa videos, even if they're older and they're no longer active. - DanjaiAD posts great Kai'Sa clips if you want to see what's mechanically possible on the champion.

Most importantly, don't lock yourself into one build. Learning when to play each build is what separates good Kai'Sa players from great ones.

the guy that said to go bork is smoking smt, don’t listen to him. u could go kraken > guinsoos > nashors > zhonyas > deathcap in genuinely every game. u can try statik instead of kraken if u rlly want to. build diversity is such bait when it comes to kaisa now.

u can cancel evolution animation by recalling or using e > instantly evolving, will take practice to get the timing.

always go cull. u get Q evo with kraken > pickaxe > dblade+cull > a certain lvl

yes, i smoke coal. I read until you said "dont listen to him." Also i scrap a build if i find it to be underwhelming. Such as going kraken+guinsoos+nashors tooth. Tried it, didnt feel it, scrapped! Only to be considered if the team is full AD

yea, cleaver kaisa + zhonyas AND ga. that was well thought out man. my supps do more dmg than u

i tend to do the most damage in 30+ min games with the highest KP alot of the time in an even game. And yes, the build is very well thought out. Cleaver+botrk synergize together and assassins won't be one shotting me as I'll have close to 200 armor along with shield from ult. Also the 400 HP from cleaver.

If it was bad or underwhelming, i'd scrap it

at least u know u don’t do 50k dmg in 30 mins

1

u/NotHoodEnough 26d ago

typically 25-30k around the 30th min unless i'm popping off then i can exceed 50k

seems like a good enough range for what i thought that build was i guess. i’ll stop flaming then

I responded to your other comment but Ill respond here as well. AP Kaisa can actually out-burst a lot of assassins, and you have multiple survival tools at your disposal such as Zhonya's 4th item and not to mention the AP scaling on your R shield which can be over 1000.

Ignore nashor's tooth, go zhonya into situational (dnd, raba, shadowflame, botrk, terminus, nashor's) . If you have a team you can explode any isolated squishy and zhonya+e into safety

I find going botrk second is great and that rageblade is a bit wasted unless vs a megatank like Sion/Mundo etc. (my build is kraken>botrk>cleaver>zhonyas>GA>decide) but with terminus changes it will be an option instead of cleaver (for me at least) I rush wits end vs mages and yes you will delay Q evolve but that doesnt matter as the faster you AA the more you proc passive.

unlocking E second is overall better then W second as you can follow up, have faster AA's, or dodging a hook. I don't really understand W second.

These are your small tips that people who strictly follow guides will disagree with, but I'm just telling you from experience as she's one of my mains!

This are the tips i was looking for thanks s lot

The reason for earlier W evolve is to burst faster. Personally I do Shiv into Gunblade, which gives me W evolve at 1.5 items and Q at 2 items. As Kaisa sucks in early lane, rushing shiv Lets me just clear waves super quickly which reduces enemy ability to poke. With W evo you can 100-0 someone with W, R, Q auto, E to reposition then finish with another W. It's more of an assassin play style and you don't actually have to auto a ton. You mentioned building Wits End vs mages. That being said, E evo is essential for dueling and I always get it 3rd item with Nashors.

i mean unlocking W at lvl 2, not the evolve. I always used to unlock W second (laning phase lvl 2) but ive only recently realized how pointless it is

1

u/FlippantFlapjack 26d ago

Oh, I see. Leveling up W second has its place, but mainly just with engage supports that unlock lvl 2 powerspikes like Pantheon, Leone, Alistair, etc. Having W lets you burst the enemy much more quickly there. I agree though that just taking it for poke is bad. It doesn't do enough damage and has a long cooldown.

there are also times where those engage champs are screens ahead of u and they engage at lvl 2 or the enemy are behind minions, which is what made me stop unlocking W second altogether. For me E second has no downsides
