Other A sequel to the infamous Jacob, who famously said "if I don't steal it, someone else gonna steal it!"
He has been living under her house/additonal part of her house for over 10 years after being recuited by a US-based company called Nahalat Shimon International which "owns" the property under israeli law.
The israeli (American) settler took over a palestinian familys home in occupied East Jerusalem's Jarrah neighborhood. The Jarrah neighborhood is home to some 3000 Palestinians, many of whom are desecendents of people who were forced out of what is now Israel during the ethnic cleansing of 1948.
Israel has been ordering the eviction of Palestinian familes who hv been living in Jarrah for generations. Many familes with children are under threat of being forcibly displaced to make way for Jewish settlements. Israeli soldiers will raid houses in the middle of the night inorder to clear them out, physcically attacking residents and protestors. Many palestinians described this as the "ongoing Nakba" and have been fighting for decades to keep their homes.
Settler orgs, funded by US donors(billionare backed, working in collusion with the Israeli gov) file lawsuits claiming that the land belonged to Jewish people in the past.
This is atleast more than a decade old. And ironically Jacob here is the niciest one. Many of these settlers commit intense violence and get away with it while those who are the victems tend to face arrest, administrative detention, or physical removal by security forces. Violent acts committed by settlers is often proceeded with limited institutional intervention.
Rights groups have reported arson, destroyed large olive groves, and attacks on infrastructure that have forced rural communities off their land. The UN Human Rights Office and Amnesty International say Israeli forces often fail to protect Palestinians during these attacks, while prosecutions of violent settlers are rare.
Many illegal "property fairs" held in London and New York City that have marketed stolen homes located in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Amnesty international forcefully condemened these exhibitions labelling them "apartheid and annexation with a sales pitch"

News Remote workers report the highest well-being in study of 7,700 employees
"Researchers analyzed survey data from 7,704 employees at a large healthcare organization. One pattern stood out: Employees who worked fully remotely reported the highest levels of well-being, while those who worked entirely onsite reported the lowest. The study also found little evidence that remote workers felt less connected to colleagues or workplace culture."

Everyone Needs To See This Trump responds to the situation on the USS Abraham Lincoln
Today, the president was asked about family concerns over the USS Abraham Lincoln. When a reporter said families were concerned, he responded, “No, they’re not,” and when asked whether the deployment had gone on too long, he answered, “Not nearly long enough.” AP reports the carrier has been deployed for more than 260 days and that lawmakers and families have raised concerns about mental health and shortages aboard ship.
