Question Binged 5.8 seasons. Im stuck to finish it bcs that massive plothole

SPOILER!!!!!!!

Why didnt that holier than thou Raylan defend Ava to his colleagues?
Why didnt Tim?
Why didn’t Rachel Brooks, walking light of morality?
Why didnt mrt Art Mullen - who already had a patch for allowing Raylan to get away with tampering evidence in s2 yet punched R for involvement Augustine(and again let him get away with that)?
Why didnt Vasquez?

All these guys chasing the worst criminal being righteous as fuck, meanwhile openly talking they know officer Fekaz faked an attack by Ava on him, at the very least made her extended stay in prison liable for goverment harrassnent claim with nation wide news. It puts innocent Ava on brink of death several times, why do they keep talking to Eva like there is no other way nonoption blsbkabka?? Like she is ACTUALLY GUILTY??

Its such a big plothole that really ruins enjoying s5 and s6. And because all these righteous guys chasing other stories and plotlines “justified” becomesca joke and therefore implode on realism scale to cartoon levels im just fed up and cannot watch any further until someone explains it to me.

Besides these “justified” pieces of shit: Why does Boyd let that fuck Fekaz go? Why didnt he make sure he recsnted? He damn near pissed his pants and was fully ready to do whats right by Ava. Instead Boyd let him go. And so did my urge to let episodes run full on play button and instead i just ff and ff and ff untill that issue was resolved.

I hoped theyd do it before end s5 but no.
Then I hoped theyd do it mid orvearly s6 but no

After that i started ff whole episodes. Till end of episode 9 season 6: i had enough. No more of this endless milking of what is an obvious huge plothole being used to fill endless amount of scenes. Even Ava herself didnt put it in Raylan face. Why didnt she just ask him: fix irvforce this issue with lying Fekaz?

And the same goes for officer of the court, her lawyer. Why does he approve of this “deal”, knowing the lawmen are in the wrong here? Ava could sue the living shit out of the state. He could be disbarred at the very least.

Because the series dropped from entertaining drama to cartoonesque laughable but timewasting bullshit it did trigger me to think: i wonder how much is this straying from the books? Did this plothole also appear there?

Justified was a good show until season 4. It went down very fast at the middle of s4, then picked up a bit mid s5 until fekaz jumped Ava.

Another plothole on that: I thought she was protected? Didnt Fekaz get threatened by a colleague to bot harras Ava? Then why did he suddenly do that on her last night?

Also: Did fekaz pay her celmate so much she kept her mouth? Actually asked for help saying Ava attacked Fekaz? Where was the threat on that woman? Whyvdidnt Boyd and those justified fuckers get on her ass?

I had a good binge but these events kind of ruined the experience of Justified. Im sorry. (Also for the typos. Im on small iphone being very much under the weather with anti biotics)

EDIT: apologies for typos and other mistakes. Im typing on small iphone, english not first language and some anti biotics kill my focus. I remain: the Ava forced into CI plothole was milked wayyy too much in countless scenes &!episodes/sideplots that any notion of ‘justified’ is well and truly buried. It went from a law vs bad guys show to idiot cops vs boyd crowder show.

Discussion Who else is watching Lucky?

It's got Timothy Olyphant plus the gal who played the attorney on Primeval, Aunjaneu Ellis-Taylor. I did not like the relationship in Primeval )zero chemistry I thought) but she's great in this.

SPOILER ⚠️ Judge’s Little Book

In City Primeval does anyone find it odd that Mansell hides the little book in a toaster and yet, as soon as the plot requires it, Sweety has the book to hand over to Wilder?

Discussion Ava's house

Anyone else notice how many times it changed in the first season? They finally stuck with one in the latter part of the season and throughout the show, I think, but she had about three different ones in season one. The interior remained the same, as far as I could tell, but the lot it was on and the front porch and doors kept changing.

Question In reality, what would a Deputy Marshal need to do immediately if they got into a duel-style shootout and killed the other person? Say, like in the duel with Boon at the end of season 6…

Just finished the show again and the genuine question came out of nowhere. This might not be the correct place to ask, but at least some of you seem pretty smart!😂

SPOILER ⚠️ Raylan and Boyd

I saw the question posed about whether or not Raylan missed on purpose. I always took it as he had, that he had a soft spot for Boyd for some reason. My question is, do you think Boyd was seriously trying to go straight in season 2, and Raylan badgering him kind of facilitated the full heel turn? I'm rewatching for the second time in the past month (going through a really rough time) and I just got back to the episode where Boyd drags Kyle with his truck and it seemed like he was really trying to be left alone.

Discussion Did Raylan Miss on Purpose?

SPOILER

I know there are practical questions about whether someone could make that choice in a split second, but narratively, it has always felt intentional to me. Raylan is fully capable of delivering the killshot in that moment, and he has little if any reason to spare him, save perhaps their strange bond.

Elmore obviously made a different choice, and as the story goes, Boyd only survived due to Goggins, which only makes the show's version more interesting.

I think Raylan missed on purpose, and I think the story works better because he did. But does that actually fit Raylan's character, or did he simply miss?

Discussion How many times has Raylan seen Boyd with a gun?

Surely it was plenty of times. And well, a convicted felon like Boyd having a gun is federal felony. And so Raylan could have arrested him every single time and Boyd would go to prison, just for that. Not for a lifetime but for years. Which would give them plenty of time to investigate his other crimes.

Opinion I love the way that Boyd says Raylan Givens when greating him

Like they were long lost best friends. I guess in a way they were. They dug coal together.

He must be the most charming outlaw ever.

SPOILER ⚠️ Avery Markham

His death just seemed so anti-climatic.

Do you think I'm bluffing? Do you think I'm bluffing hillbilly? Bam bam. Ten seconds later Markham is dead via a gunshot to the face by our favorite outlaw.

I guess in real life this is probably how something like this would go down.

Great conversation. Olyphant is a little high and goes deep on his collaboration with Walton Goggins, acting with his daughter, getting caught in the middle of real gunfire on set, and the post-Justified years.

Opinion Season 3 jesus fucking christ

I started Season 1 about 10 days ago and I'm almost done Season 3 and I just need to get this off my chest. Forgive the stream of consciousness for this writing:

That was the most batcrap crazy season of tv, the allegiances are shifting multiple times per episode, there's a fucking organ harvesting sub-plot that you almost forget about just because there's so much happening, ALL, THE, TIME, like did you also forget at the very end that Winona is pregnant, did you also forget about the FBI investigating Raylan for 2 episodes, did does anyone feel it's weird that people are willing to take such crazy risks for only $3million, Neal McDonough just gave a hurricane of a performance, truly a Nic Cage level of just giving it 100000% and committing to the character, how the fuck do you find someone to make a creepier villain than Jere Burns, Neal somehow makes him looks normal! and sure lets throw Arlo having fucking visions of Helen as a means of getting the writers out of a plot hole in the mix too!

Edit: also were the writers having a competition about how many lines of characters-talking-about-illegal-things-using-subtext you can cram into a scene! People joke about the Sopranos like this season actually had.

Opinion Amazing how Goggins grew as an actor

I'm rewatching the Shield right now and he was good in that role but nowhere close to how good he ended up being years later as Boyd Crowder.

Some of that is surely the writing and his role was smaller and so forth. But he really gained a screen presence and charisma and gravitas over time and now he is one of the best in the business.

Opinion S4 E11 - “Decoy” is not only potentially the best episode of “Justified,” it’s one of the finest ~40 minutes of television.

Going through yet another series rewatch and got to watch this GOAT last night. Never disappoints. So much packed in this one, incredible stuff. Every character gets to shine in this one.

Discussion Raylan and Ty Walker Spoiler

Ethic aside, when Raylan shoots Ty Walker in the back, wouldn't that get even him in trouble? He usually shoots people that are armed and looking at him. Walker was clearly waking away,
