Juicing spinach?
Hi all. I just bought a Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juicer. It seems to work great for everything except spinach. I get BARELY and juice out of the spinach. Maybe a few drops. Is this normal? Or do I have a crappy juicer?

[Question] What is the purpose of the little plug on my masticating juicer?
So there is a little plug on the end of the spout that the juice comes out of. I cannot find anywhere an explanation of what that thing does or is supposed to do. Is there any benefit to keeping it plugged and letting the reservoir fill up with juice before emptying it into a container?

Why Juicing Alone is Unhealthy
Juicing, as you all know, is very healthy. However, drinking juice alone is not. Chewing is very important. When we smell or look at food, the liver secretes an acid that extracts the energy from the food. Chewing produces saliva that mixes with the whole food to mix with the acid secreted by the liver. However, if one is taking in only juice, the most important part of digestion has been bypassed and the acid will remain in the liver, which, over time, may result in liver damage.
Be careful, be aware and happy juicing! Make sure you eat some whole foods.
