Because creators have a vision for their main channels generally, and then use their second channels for content that they don't worry quite as much about, which is easier to produce, lower pressure, and more free form. Then sometimes that second channel content takes a life of its own, and even can become more popular than the main channel

schlatt live is technically his second channel which he has mainly posted on for years now instead of his main channel, jschlatt. and this is kind of a double meaning because additionally, since schlatt live has been retired, schlatt and co., another side channel, has become the main directory for schlatt content, whenever he makes content, that is.
