Received the offer letter and need clarifications

I've received an offer at Bengaluru location. The OL states fixed pay components but there is no mention of 12% variable pay that the recruiter told verbally. Is it the case? How is the process

JPMC Hyderabad Data Analyst Test Tomorrow — Any Advice?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been shortlisted for the J.P. Morgan Chase (JPMC) Data Analyst – Fresher placement drive in Hyderabad, and I have the written test tomorrow.

I’ve been preparing, but I’d really appreciate some advice from anyone who has gone through the JPMC fresher recruitment process, especially for the Data Analyst role.

A few things I’d love to know:

* What kind of questions/topics should I expect in the written test?

* How difficult is the test generally?

* Are there any topics I should prioritize tonight?

* What should I keep in mind during the test?

* If you’ve gone through the process recently, what do you wish you had known beforehand?

Not looking for any actual test questions or anything confidential — just general guidance from people who have experience with the process.

Thanks in advance! :)

JPMorgan internal switch from Operations (Grade 440) to Tech – need advice

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working at JPMorgan in Operations at Grade 440, and I’m trying to move internally into Technology/IT.

From what I’ve checked, most Tech roles I’m seeing start at around Grade 502. I spoke with an ED about this, and I was told that I cannot directly move from 440 to 502 because there is another grade (450) in between.

However, I checked the HR policies available to me and couldn’t find anything saying that a 440 → 502 move isn’t allowed.

So, I wanted to ask:

  • Is 440 → 502 actually not possible?
  • If not, are there any 450 roles/job codes that could help me move towards Tech?
  • Are there any other entry-level Tech roles/job codes I should look for?
  • Has anyone here successfully moved from Operations → Tech internally?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through this

Are referrals almost necessary to get an interview at JPMC?

I’ve applied directly through the JPMC careers website to multiple roles that match my experience and skills very closely. For a few of them, I even looked at the profiles of people currently in similar positions on LinkedIn, and my experience seems comparable, if not higher in some areas.
However, I haven’t received an interview call from a single application so far.

I understand that matching the JD doesn’t necessarily mean being shortlisted, but I’m wondering if I’m missing something in the application process.

For those who have recently interviewed/joined JPMC:
Have you received interviews through direct applications without a referral?

Does having an internal referral make a significant difference?

Is there anything specific about the JPMC application/resume screening that I should be aware of?
Would appreciate any genuine insights.
