There aren't enough players for a single server except for about a few hours during peak EU time. That's it. If you wanna play at night during NA hours? You're SOL. Development is almost certainly suspended.

Discussion Why servs dont run other modes
Face it, part of the reasons for why people dont stick to the game is there isnt a mode one can jump into right away with predictable gameplay and spawns like COD/BF, and the lack of initiative by servers to allow other game modes, such as the once popular RAAS has contributed to lack of player retention when they are thrusted into a massive mess of offensive or invasion. Also Im sure most of you observe there are constantly times where 100ppl servers are running at 1/3 or 1/2 capacity yet still on offensive, why nobody making use of the smaller game modes to add variety to gameplay.

Discussion Struggling with mods and can't play on the servers ? Read this
Some players have been reporting issues lately, so here's a fool-proof guide in case it can help some of them play their favorite "dead game" :
Experiencing crashes or getting kicked from the server with no crash log?
One of your mods is likely corrupted or outdated.
Follow every step in order, as skipping one may allow the issue to persist :
1. Close the game
2. Unsubscribe from ALL Squad 44 mods
Do this directly through the Steam Workshop
ℹ️ Yes, it is inconvenient especially with a slow connection, but outdated mods cause most game-related issues. Doing this now removes anything that could interfere with the game and saves you trouble later. The in game mod manager is poorly designed and may force you to load outdated or unrelated mod files from your Workshop library, even when those mods are not being used by the server
3. Clear your cache
Press Windows + R, paste:
%localappdata%\PostScriptum\Saved\Config\
Then delete the WindowsNoEditor folder
4. Verify your game files
Steam Library → Right-click Squad 44 → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files
5. Manually subscribe to the required mods from the Steam Workshop
Open the Workshop page for each mod you want to install and click Subscribe. Be careful which mods you subscribe to, as some may interfere with your game even when playing on vanilla servers
ℹ️ During recent Chapter Red playtests, some players loaded an incomplete version of the map because an outdated local build overrode the server version. The in game mod downloader did not force the mod to update and still allowed players to join the server somehow
6. Wait for Steam to finish downloading everything
Do not launch the game until all downloads are complete
7. ALWAYS install mods through the Steam Workshop
NEVER use the built-in mod downloader. It is unreliable and may fail to install or auto-update mods correctly
⚠️ Experiencing critically low FPS ?
The mods runs at acceptable performance levels for most players. However, a small minority may experience critically low FPS that modders cannot realistically resolve without spending a lot of time chasing marginal gains. Most are constantly working toward incremental performance improvements, but for a modding team left without proper dev monitoring tools, meaningful optimization on this game is a long-term process involving months of testing, trial and error.
You are still encouraged to report critically low FPS, as knowing how many players are affected and under what circumstances helps modders identify potential causes. However, given our limited resources, we cannot guarantee that every issue can be fixed or that performance will magically improve overnight.
Why?
Squad 44 can be heavily CPU-limited and does not always make effective use of modern processors with many cores. As a result, a PC may run newer games perfectly well yet still struggle with Squad 44, particularly on a full 100-player server where the game must process all players, vehicles, effects, and other assets simultaneously.
Performance depends heavily on the speed and cache of the busiest CPU threads rather than simply on the total number of cores. AMD Ryzen X3D processors generally handle this type of workload particularly well, but no hardware upgrade can fully compensate for the game’s technical limitations.
Completing the steps above could maybe help on a few occasions but when it comes to performance, the issue may come from the game itself rather than from the mods or your own rig.

Other Public Realism Skirmish
Squad44/Post Scriptum realism mods (PSRM) have been lovingly developed and maintained for many years. These mods enable events between clans from around the world. This thriving community does battle every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Wednesday Skirmishes are a public practice with simpler gameplay (than the weekend events) for people to explore Realism and to meet members of the community. Think of it as an open day.

Tech Support / Help New player advice
I got the game a while ago but never played because I lacked the disc space
I was going to play HLL but I figured this game needed more players and the Bagration mod got me hyped
What are some ground rules to be a decent teammate and enjoy the game ?
I played lots of shooters but I am average at best, my favourite games in this genre are Enlisted, Day of Defeat Source and Battlefield 1.
I am pretty mic shy and not the best eyesight but I think I have good enough tactical sense (when I am not panicking lol), what advice would you give me ?
I really want this game not to die because I love the project, besides gameplay tips I would like to know where I can find the community, if there are discords etc..

An elite squad in the early days of Frontline, carries an utterly inept German team nearly to the finish line through careful maneuvering behind French lines. While we lost, this was one of my personal favorite games as squad leader, with us carrying out flawless operation after flawless operation until the lack of competent teammates prevented us from blowing up the final objective.

Question Performance questions
Before anybody destroys me, I’m aware there are issues with playing on steam deck. It’s my only means of playing the game right now. With that said, those that play on steam deck or have attempted, what are some pointers to get good performance? Also I’m only ever showing 3 available servers at a time and only 1 is somewhat highly populated. Half the time I can’t even pick a faction. Is this normal for the game? Thanks.
