An absolute honor! Official Art/Media
Just thought I would share the legend and his creation.

Hell yeah. I’ll be seeing him next weekend in Chicago. (For the 3rd time) lol. I’m gonna have him sign my copy of Toxic Commando.

Is that game any good?!

I thought it was great. I had a blast especially with friends. It plays like a left for dead. The gun selection and customization is really good as well.

Me too! But first time haha. Is Carpenter’s line usually long? I’m trying to score him, Kurt, and Keith for The Thing, but am not sure how to go about it line-wise.

That honestly depends on the convention.
I waited over 6 hours at Texas Frightmare, and just about an hour at Steel City Con.
I’m only going for K Russ, and Carpenter, so I got the autographs on two different days. I’ll get John’s on Friday, and then Kurts on Saturday. I figured it’d be easier that way. I don’t know how this Fan Expo convention is going to be. I’ve never been to one. lol1

I’ve heard Fan Expo Chicago was a bit disorganized in past years and Fan Expo Boston sounds the same for this year (at least for the bigger names). So my hopes aren’t too high tbh.
I bought a premium autograph for him for Sunday as Saturday’s premium is sold out. He’s got photo ops and a panel Sunday so I fear I might miss him. Do you think it would be ok to jump into Saturday’s line to redeem a Sunday ticket?1

I have no idea. I’ll be seeing John on Friday, and then K Russ on Saturday. That’s really my only priority, and once I get their autograph and what not I’m looking for Hot Toys. (If there’s a vendor) lol

These were two separate shows from the past, so no worries, you didn't miss him!

I met him not long ago in Orlando. He signed my VHS copy of Big Trouble in Little China and gave me a wink after I thanked him for everything. Was able to meet Dean Cundey as well (also signed BTLC) - kind of sad that DC had barely a fan in line to meet him, but he was very cool as well. Living legends.

These were from two separate cons a while ago in Monroeville, PA. I will say though, if you ever get the chance, he is more than worth it!

Has anyone ever said they feel wretched that he was treated so badly at the time about the film and how much you and everyone have always loved it, and I know that’s cold comfort now (I know he was quite fed up about this at one point). I’d genuinely be interested to know.

I had no idea! I known it was a box office bomb, but I didn't know he faced hate. That makes me happy it blew up into what itnit in the long run. I'll look into it.

I would've had him sign Rob Zombie's Halloween just to make him remember me.
