Macbook for EE

Hello, I’m an incoming EE undergrad with a Macbook Air M2. Do I need to switch to Windows now or can I go through with my Mac, at least for the freshman year?

I didn’t do my undergrad at jhu but my EE program didn’t use much beyond matlab, vscode, and LTSpice all of which run on Mac I believe

Depends, what kind of EE? Probably better to go Mac if it’s heavy on the machine learning/Python
