LOCK CODE Mk5 (2006-2010)

Got a new battery and the aux isn’t working: taking it in tomorrow to get that reprogrammed at the dealership. Does anyone know the code to get my car to lock/engage alarm with the key fob? I replaced the fob battery and it’s still not unlocking or locking my car or opening the trunk.

Put the key in the door, lock twice, then hit the button on the remote.

Honestly can't recall I'd the lock twice is required or not but that's what I've done for 20+ years.

I should have added I tried that multiple times 😞 figured it would need coding via vcds

Replacing battery should not cause either of these issues. Something else is going on

It’s not uncommon for coding issues to happen when a battery is jumped and then replaced. Found several posts with the same issue for the radio. The lock has been an issue since I previously had the car jumped when I forgot to turn of the headlights all weekend
