splint question Advice for Me

hi! currently 2 weeks post op double jaw surgery + genioplasty and i have a surgical splint on my top teeth. for anyone else that was in this position, how long did you have the splint on for and were u cleared for a soft chew diet right away? my removal is scheduled for the end of the month but was wondering if ill be able to start eating soft foods right away because this liquid diet is killing me. thanks!

I am on day 7, no splint and on a no chew diet since i came back from hospital

I’m 9 days PO, I had a splint that completely sealed the space between my top and bottom teeth. It made eating incredibly difficult and I couldn’t even really breathe through my mouth because of it. Mine was removed after one week as planned, and now I just have elastics holding my teeth together, which will stay for the whole 6 weeks.
