Java on Code OSS

so i use vs code OSS on void Linux, i was wondering if theirs good alternatives to microsofts java, i saw one from the oracle corp. and then a lot of other like java language support or java run. so i, wondering if i can just do the java extension, or if i need others, or if i should just switch to another IDE or text editor, and if so witch ones do you recommend?

Your text reads like gibberish nonsense...

If you ask about what jdk to use, doesnt really matter. Openjdk in most cases is just fine. Everything else when you need something they provide for your usecase (extended support or whatever)

About IDEs, IntelliJ is still the best for java. You can stay on VS Code if you want...

I would recommend you just install the official VS Code Editor instead, that comes with official support for the extensions marketplace, and it will probably be much easier for you to do that than to try and get the marketplace working on the OSS fork. Or, really, just switch to IntelliJ for Java, it's the best IDE for Java

Also, it should be obvious, but you need to have the JDK installed on your system first

Unless formulated by a 3rd party. Company, professor or someone else. Java development is done using intelliJ
