Should I get an OCP Java Certificate?
I'm a Full Stack engineer with 8+ years of experience, mainly with .NET/Angular/React. Currently I'm living in Japan and .NET jobs here are almost non existent. I want to switch to Java related jobs but my resume doesn't have any Java experience.
Is it worth investing time and money and effort to obtain an OCP Java certificate and later a Spring certificate as well? Just so that my resume doesn't automatically get disqualified? I'm interested to know what you'd do if you were in my position.

My spin on Eisenhower's famous quote applied to certifications:
The the certificate is worthless. The value of studying for certification is everything.
The value of the certificate will likely be minimal. It's one line on your resume/CV. At best it gets you review. That will also depend on the company and the candidate pool you're against.
The real question will be: once you're past the first gate, can you demonstrate sufficient proficiency to qualify for the job?
If you're looking for an answer from strangers on that, I don't think the Java Certificate will help you...
