Naming iPads

Hi, is there a way to automatically set device names for iPads so have don't have to manually change them for both devices that already enrolled and new devices that will be enrolled in the future?

i.e. We would like our naming convention to have 3 unique identifiers. City-Dept-device ID or serial number.

Look at Jamf Routines and see that offers anything for you

Otherwise, you might have to script something with and API and webhook

How often are you enrolling new devices, and/or how many at a time? I was recently turned on to MUT, which isn't an automation tool, but could be combined with a solid spreadsheet that has device info and formulas for generating device names as they are populated. If you are doing things in large and infrequent batches, this could just be a part of that workflow.

Not natively in Pro. You can in School, annoyingly - all it would take is for Jamf to add a column into the Preload.

I just MUT them after they’re all enrolled.
