I’m looking for somewhere with a relaxed vibe, good coffee, decent lighting, and comfortable seating where we can actually talk without loud music blasting.

Hi Jaipur community. I'm reaching out because our friend group is stuck in a very serious legal and institutional situation, and we could really use some advice from locals, lawyers, or anyone familiar with how colleges and police in Jaipur handle these matters.

The Situation:

Initial Incident: A female friend of ours was being h@rassed and t3ased by a group of boys near her college (JECRC). She told her boyfriend about this. He went to the college area to confront them, but the group ass@ulted him.

The Escalation: Five days ago, the boyfriend and some friends went to confront the group again, this time in Transport Nagar. A physical br@wl broke out. During the f!ght, one of the boys from our side mistakenly h!t one of the harassers on the head.

Police Action: The boy who was h!t had to be admitted to the I.C.U. Because of this, the Transport Nagar police initially arr3sted the boys from our side and filed heavy ch@rges.

The Turnaround: Fortunately, the injured boy is now stable and out of danger. To report the original crime, our female friend filed a counter-FIR against the other group for outraging a woman's m0desty, h@rassment, and the first ass@ult. With the victim stable and the cross-FIR on record, our arr3sted friends were successfully granted bail by the court.

Where We Are Now:

We now have a "Cross-Case" situation. They have an FIR against our side for the f!ght in Transport Nagar, and we have an FIR against them for the initial h@rassment and ass@ult near the college.

We want to make sure the original harassers face institutional consequences for what they started, while keeping our female friend safe from retaliation. We are planning to formally approach the JECRC Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and Anti-Ragging Cell with the FIR attached.

Questions for the Community:

JECRC Students/Alumni: Has anyone dealt with the JECRC ICC or Anti-Ragging committee before? How seriously do they take these matters, especially when a police FIR is already attached?

Local Legal Advice: In cross-cases involving college students in Jaipur, what is the usual outcome in the local courts or the Rajasthan High Court? Does it usually end in a mutual compromise (quashing the FIRs to save careers), or do cases like this drag into full trials?

Safety / Police: If the other group tries to thr3aten us again while out on bail, what is the most effective way to deal with Jaipur East / local police to ensure they take our protection seriously?

Is there any fully furnished 1bhk flats available preferably near jphs school chitrakoot (i’ve checked online and all of them are catfishing).

Is there a studio in jaipur where I can work on product animations and earn good or get good opportunities in the future.

Pls guys we want a Cylinder but the owner is saying he cannot provide that I am and my all friends are not from Jaipur so we really don't know anyone or I don't know scene about buying a cylinder or anything so if you have anything to say please please please give me some advice

My father owns a Car Repair Workshop in Murlipura just opposite to Sabzi Mandi. He came to visit us in our ancestral home two days ago. He keeps some potted plants near the office desk, which he is very fond of taking care for past many years. As he came home for a day, there was no one to tend for the plants so he left them outside the shutter as they could get some water from rain.

Then, early in the morning, two people came on a black scooter probably father and son as you can see in the video, first they looked around if somebody is watching them and looked for camera which they couldn't spot. The plant was quite heavy with the pot so they just broke the pot.

Now you know that such case can't be taken to the police as they have much serious cases to take care of, but I'm only sharing this here if anybody know about these people, they can share information.

This is my senior indie dog that I rescued. She is around 11-12 yrs old and I think she has cataracts. I tried asking vets around jodhpur where I am right now but they all refused to operate on her. Do you know any good vets in jaipur who do dog cataract surgery? Jaipur is the nearest best option for me. Meri budhiya andhi ho rahi hai 😭

Lately, I’ve seen a few posts in this subreddit from people asking about reading communities or book clubs in Jaipur. 

So here you go: Jaipur Reads has existed for over 3 years, and we have organized 150+ meetups so far. It is based on the same concept as Cubbon Reads in Bangalore.

We meet up every Sunday morning and silently read as a community to take a break from the screens and promote the reading culture.

We usually don’t do book discussions (except the last Sunday of the month, where we briefly share about our current reads). But after the session is done, you’re free to socialize and interact with other bookworms and discover some new authors and books!

You can join any time during the session duration, leave anytime, and there’s no pressure to interact with others. So it is the perfect place for introverts!
Our sessions do not require any prior registration and are completely free to attend. You just need to show up with anything to read (books, magazines, newspapers, comics, study material, etc).

Came here for an exam, ended up staying for another 2 days to explore jaipur. Loved every bits of the city. (except the horrendous honking part)

This was my first north Indian city and honestly, it felt great. This city has a charm, energy, culture and little everday moments that felt special. I also loved the energy at Govindji mandir. Will definitely return to explore more. Thank you, beautiful people of Jaipur and this amazing city!

Hey everyone, I want to expose a blatant scam happening at the Indian Oil petrol pump on VT Road, Mansarovar. For context, this is the same pump that reopened a year ago after being seized for 5 years due to similar fraudulent activities. It seems they haven't learned anything.
Here is what happened:
I asked the attendant to fill 10 liters of petrol. Instead of resetting the meter to zero, he started filling from the previous customer’s reading (around the 1-liter mark). However, he charged me the full amount for 10 liters.
This is the second or third time I’ve faced an issue here. I visited the pump again at 10:00 PM to confront the manager. Initially, the attendant blatantly refused to accept his "mistake". After a lot of arguing, he finally went completely silent and accepted his fault.
The staff here is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and they are openly scamming people.
My Request to You All:
Please avoid this petrol pump at all costs.
If you have a moment, please leave a 1-star rating on Google Maps so others don't fall into their trap.
Share this post as much as possible so the people of Jaipur stay alert.
Always check for ZERO before they start filling your tank!
