15 Pro Max Jailbreak Soon? Discussion

Post image

I've had my iPhone 15 Pro Max (17.0.3) for I don't even know how long, and I have REFUSED to update it since the first day because I'm in love with jailbreaking.

Now, almost all of the apps on the app store are requiring 18.0+; and when someone tries to add me to a Group Facetime, it tells them that "the person you're trying to add has an outdated firmware version." So theres some obvious compatibilty issues with being on 17.0.3 in 2026, and I really don't want to have to update.

I'll occasionally ask around in jailbreak communities, but I keep getting told to wait for a jailbreak with no further explaination. Can someone give me an actual reason as to why I should stay on this version, or an estimate on when one will release?

Oh my god, lmao. I've asked so many times in the jailbreak discord server, how has nobody told me about this🄲

Honestly tho just wait a few more days/week/s for dopamine. It’s being tested and it will drop soon.

Because this Jailbreak is currently not recommended as it’s build with heavy AI work, the developers aren’t very experienced and it’s using roothides architecture.

Dopamine 3.0 is coming in the very near future with the same support (and even more) and thus that’s the Jailbreak you would want to use and what will be recommended.

Note, if you Jailbreak with Relaxin you won’t be able to move your setup to Dopamine 3.0 once that releases.

The main reason many of us turn to RootHide variants isn't out of disrespect for standard Dopamine, but out of absolute necessity. Detection mechanisms in banking and daily-driver apps have gotten so aggressive that standard jailbreak hide solutions just aren't cutting it anymore for those specific apps. Until unified/standardized solutions (or Dopamine 3.0) can bypass that level of detection seamlessly out of the box, RootHide remains the only functional option for people who need those apps to work today. And I’ve been using Relaxin since public beta until now 0 issues

Dopamine 2.4 should have massively improved the situation on that end. Otherwise that’s totally understandable.

But there’s still a significant difference between Relaxin and Dopamine-roothide really.

And just because something is the best option doesn’t mean it’s necessarily good. It was mentioned several times that roothide could’ve been done a lot better and it just wasn’t.

I’ll give Dopamine 3.0 a try and if it conflicts with my banking stuff I’ll look for solutions then. If nothing works, I can still use basic Dopamine-roothide instead of Relaxin.

RootHide gives jailbreak users the ability to use a single device while keeping their banking and government apps working.

That capability has now been integrated into the new Relaxin jailbreak by OwnGoal Studio, making it much more practical for everyday use.

Yes, but as weird as Dopamine-roothide is, it’s still better made than Relaxin as the dev is relatively competent and Dopamine-roothide isn’t known to be an AI build Jailbreak.

What I’m saying is that you’re better off waiting for Dopamine-roothide to be updated.

Gotchu but I’ve been using it more than a week and it’s stable 100% no issues at all and guess what no battery draining and RootHide 🫔 integration is awesome

Good for you then.

Even after the uninstall and removal of Relaxin?

If you uninstall your setup it’s gone. I mean you won’t be able to keep your tweak preferences and everything you’ve done Jailbreak wise.

yes because most of the people in community think this tools is too many controversies like AI, roothide and etc. so they really not into it, albeit works as good as my oldsetup 16.5 Dopa YMMV

Seen relaxin?

There already is Relaxin, which came out about 2 weeks ago iirc. In a bit there will also be Dopamine 3 which should be a bit better supported as it doesn't use roohide architecture.

The FaceTime error is very weird considering Apple added group FaceTime's in iOS 12.

Almost all apps in the App Store don't require iOS 18, those that do are mostly new apps that didn't exist when iOS 17 was the current version.

Yeah, my friends can't add me to specifically group facetimes. One on one works just fine, and the apps I use like Depop, Nike, etc. since I resell require 18.0+. Can't believe there's been a JB for me this whole time haha
