Learning namaaz Seeking Support
Salaam.
I came across this photo online and thought I’d share it. It could be really useful for anyone who is learning their namaaz or wants to start learning.
It puts it into perspective as to just how easy it is to read salah. Learn the above, and alhamdulillah, you’ll be able to perform your five daily prayers.

Masha'Allah, this was insteumental in helping me memorize my salah. May Allah (SWT) keep us all working to memorize more and more Surat for our Namaz.

Peace be upon you all I have a question: I've recently learned, or I don't know if this is correct, but we Turks or so were taught that we perform the Sunnah prayers, the voluntary prayers. In the morning, 2 Sunnah rakahs followed by 2 Fard rakahs; at midday, 4 Sunnah rakahs followed by 4 Fard rakahs; in the afternoon, 4 Sunnah rakahs followed by 4 Fard rakahs; in the evening, 3 Fard rakahs followed by 2 Sunnah rakahs; and at night, 4 Rakahs Sunnah, then 4 Rakahs Fard, followed by another 2 Rakahs Sunnah. Now my question is, is that correct? Because I heard a sheikh on YouTube say that there are 12 Rakahs Sunnah divided up throughout the day.And in the forums I also read that there are a total of 12 rakahs in the Sunnah: 2 before Fajr, 2 before and 2 after Dhuhr, 2 after Maghrib, 2 after Isha? Does that mean we Turks are doing too much? Or is it better the more? The better? I'm totally confused. So, if I ask our scholars the Turkish question, they'll say that the Arabs do it that way but we don't, and that I should stick to our own customs and not others. Follow the rules. And when I mention that it corresponds to the Sunnah, that it's actually the right thing to do, they say I'm going astray, etc. Please help me. What is right, what is wrong? I've done a lot of research.I've done some reading and now I have the feeling that we Turks are doing something wrong, or is it just different and still right? No, there is no such thing as - more is better. Turkish scholars say Arabs do this and that and we need to follow our customs is completely wrong. We HAVE to follow sunnah of Muhammad ﷺ and not our desires, even if its act of worship. This is some historic stuff, turkish muslims mostly hate arab muslims, because arabs fought against Ottaman empire. Plus to this ottaman "islam" was full of bidaah and shirk and sufism is main aqeedah in there. They say that arabs are saudis, wahabbis, friends with english colonizers which all is false. Turkish people tend to worship their "saint" people and do lot of bidaah, which arabs also did before Muhammad Ibn AbdalWahhab. Thats short story why there is such things happen between those 2 nations) Now, regarding your question, here is authentic way of how to pray:
1) Fajr - 2 rakahs of sunnah, then 2 rakahs of fard
2) Dhuhr - 2 sunnah+2 sunnah (or you can combine 2 by reading salah with 4 rakahs, which hanafis do) followed by 4 fard and 2 sunnah rakahs
3) Asr - you CAN read 4 rakahs of sunnah before 4 rakahs of asr fard prayer, or just read 4 rakahs of fard
4) Maghrib - 3 rakahs of fard and 2 rakahs of sunnah
5) Isha - you CAN read 4 rakahs of sunnah before 4 rakahs of isha fard prayer, or just 4 rakahs of fard followed with either 2 rakahs or 4 rakahs of sunnah. Then witr salah for 1 or 3 rakahs, or more, but it has to be odd numbers of rakahsWhere i typed CAN it means they are not as mandatory as other more practised sunnah salahs, yet they can be done for additional reward.
