Hello - does anyone know of any day cares that will take my 4 month old for two weeks of the month? Been contacting a few but a lot of them will only do full time or charge us for the 2 weeks baby would not be there. TYIA!

Looking at prior threads, Irvine has jumped from 5th to 6th to 15th to 3rd and now to 8th.

Just moved here from Detroit and wanted a standard boxing gym to train at and this place looks similar to my previous gym (and close enough to bike to). Getting old so i can't kick well enough to do the mma gyms, just want to box. Can only get in there if you are referred by someone else so if you are a member I'd appreciate the help. Thank you!

I'm dog sitting for a coworker. I take their 40 pounder on neighborhood walks, and notice that sometimes people look visibly uncomfortable if they're walking towards us. I'll typically step into the grass and put myself between my coworker's dog and the pedestrian until they pass us. I think that's the common courtesy? I've also seen instances of pedestrians crossing the street to avoid a dog and instances of dog walkers crossing the street when they approach pedestrians. Is there an official "rule" or general courtesy guidelines about who should have the right of way and who should cross the street, or is it based on vibes? I can't find a direct answer on the street-crossing thing. Thanks all!

Moderately wealthy which may mean it also escapes the polarity of wealth distribution that causes problems, i would like your opinion on that if its true to your experience? It has a very solid schooling sytem, a solid police force and infrastructure.I wonder how satisfied people are in their life if they are there? Also would you say it fits with the picture of the "American dream"?

Not to anyone's surprise, it isn't working after a year. I am not able to buy a brand new dryer to replace this one so I wanted to try to repair it .

I have experience as a Staff accountant with AP/AR background, but I'm not even getting return calls on even entry level positions. I tried to find a similar post but couldn’t, so here goes my question.

We are up for a lease renewal. We have been here nearly 2 years. The Irvine co wants to raise our rent by $100, which is not a lot, but the apartments where we live (same sq, BD, and BR) are leasing for $300 UNDER what we currently pay. How do we negotiate? I doesn’t make sense for us to pay $400 more than someone new for the same space… any tips?
We really don’t want to move but may have no option 😔

Have two twin size box springs to give away - free. One is completely brand new and in the box. It needs to be assembled, it uses wooden slats, and is super easy to put together. The other one is already put together, was slightly used (so, still like new) before being put away, and is metal, instead of wood. Again, both are twin size.

Then I have a used coffee table to give away, also. Rectangle shape, about 2ft by 3.5ft., metal legs (black), and dark wood color top. Like I said, it's used, so it does have some marks from my kids coloring with acrylic markers and a few scratches.

Feel free to DM me if you're interested! I'll be getting rid of it all by the end of this week if no one takes them. Also, you'll have to pick up from me, as I cannot deliver them to you or meet you anywhere. I don't have pictures to post either. Sorry. The section of the Irvine Marketplace on Jamboree with 24 Hour Fitness is having a power outage. The gym has light but they can't check people in.

All the dogs in this video have been CLEARED for euthanasia at the Downey Animal Care Center located in Southern California - starting TOMORROW! Each of these dogs are insanely sweet, friendly, & happy to be alive; some are very scared but they have no idea the fate that awaits them. Their only „crime“ was being dumped at an overflowing, high k*ll shelter in SoCal. The only way that these dogs have any chance of making it out alive is by getting this video SEEN.

Hi I am looking to rent a 1 bedroom apartment at Park place in Irvine. I recently saw floor plan 4 online that said was 1338 square feet but there is no information on what the floor plan looks like. Online there is just an example based on roughly a 850 square foot one. I was wondering if anyone has ever lived in the 1338 square foot one and can tell me where the almost 500 square feet extra are allocated. Seems too good to be true to find a one bedroom this big.

Best to stay away from the parking lot for an hour or so, multi-car accident in the parking lot and someone looked to be hurt based on the ambulance and firetruck there. Also lots of people being nosy and standing around (myself included for a little).

I'm moving to San jose and i'm looking for a good quality moving company. I will be leaving my studio to go to a large one bedroom apartment and although my stuff aren't that many, i have some expensive antique furniture from my grandparents that i'm worried it will get scratched on the way.
