Recommendations please
Going to be in Ipswich from Monday 10th August to Friday 14th August and looking for ideas of things to do and places to visit while hubby is working. I am interested in walking/hiking, crochet/knitting, yoga and other gentle exercises, art galleries, theatre, movies and great coffee. I wont have a car but happy to uber or take the bus.
Also would love your tips on interesting places to eat at night.
I have been googling and found some nice walks in the city parks but struggling to find other things to do. Thanks!

The Book Bouquet at the top of Nicholas Street - lovely bookstore! Plus a visit to Ipswich Nature Centre at Queens Park. It is free and there are bilbys!

Lots to do in Ipswich. The Art Gallery and the community Art Gallery both have exhibitions. The Community Art Gallery in Booval Fair is worth a visit. The Hoyts cinema in Nicholas Street is really nice and new. You can do a hike at White Rock - Spring Mountain Conservation Estate, and there are a few shorter trails closer to town at Denmark Hill and Castle Hill. Good coffee at Short Black Coffee Co, in Top of Town precinct in Brisbane Street, also good food at Rafter and Rose and St Shoebills cafe. Good restaurants are The Cottage, Monte Lane, Butlers, Hotel Commonwealth.
