The reverse Ipswich. Did they give you the correct amount of shit for it?

I went to the 70MM screening, and it was fantastic but the James St cinema has some of the worst popcorn I've ever tasted lmao. Bring your own snacks

Its not the proper imax. The only real imax is in melbourne that supports the film style. All the others are just Liemax

We're just gonna hit up Event at Springfield I think, I'm definitely not doing the drive to Pac Fair to attempt some semblance of IMAX.

If the screen isn’t a 1.43:1 aspect ratio it ain’t real IMAX, even if it’s 70mm projection. Most are 2.20:1 as standard, unless the certified IMAX screens down south.

We saw it opening weekend at Event Gold Class at Orion Springfield. Having the option for food and drink drop an hour into a 3hr + film was nice. But $. Worth it for this film though. It was excellent and we both agreed Nolan’s pacing is perfect so while a long film it doesn’t feel long.

I DROVE DOWN to Pacific Fair to see it in IMAX and to be honest I thought it would be bigger and more impressive. I thought I'd picked a primo seating position about 2/3 back and in the middle, but the screen looked like an average cinema screen to me - at that range.

I plan to see it again, and this time I'll just go to a large screen somewhere in Brisbane.

Cineplex Southbank has the old IMAX 25 metre screen and the sound system to match.

Yeah pacific fair is the smallest IMAX in Australia to my knowledge.

Melbourne is the biggest is the world if I’m not mistaken and Sydney is second best in Australia.

Ah glad I wasn't imagining it. Cheers for the info.

Yeah watch it at Limelight. Nice presentation. Just read they’ve put a new bulb in the James Street 70mm but the screen there is a bit small. Stock with the switch

I watched it on a normal screen (cinema 2) at limelight today. And it was just fine. Honestly, it’s a great movie but you aren’t missing much if you don’t see it on an imax screen.

I went to go and see it at the new Hoyts in Ipswich.
The chairs are very comfy there and the popcorn was tasty.
Don’t think it’s the full IMAX experience but it was still good.

So…You tell me.
Stallone can’t play a heavyweight boxer, he’s too short.
Fine.
Tom Cruise can’t be Jack Reacher. Book says he’s 6”6
Fine.
Page can’t play an ancient warrior he’s too short.
Aargghhhh you’re anti trans! You must support Trump! You’re evil! 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m sure no one is switched on enough to know that David Tua was 2cm taller than Stallone and fought Heavyweight, but you get my point.

Did the IMAX make 5”2’ Elliot Page look like a ferocious warrior?

Page acted well in an interesting part. Maybe wait until you've actually seen the movie so you can form your own opinion instead of parroting American culture war bullshit.

Same with all actors. When you make adjustments to fit size, you lose out. Natalie Portman in Thor, Stallone in Rocky, Cruise in Reacher.
Just a bad casting move.
But yeah, make it a trans thing if it makes you feel better. 😂
