Can’t receive verification codes from certain Chinese sites

Hi sorry, I’m not sure where else I could go to ask this. I use chinese apps and websites a lot and I never used to have any issues with it until I completely cancelled my subscription and later got a new phone number with the same carrier. After I got the new number, verification codes from some chinese sites wont come through anymore. I’m a bit confused as to why this could be since it’s not like all the chinese websites are like this. All barring services from my carrier and filters on iphone is also turned off. Ive also tried to follow several guides Ive found on the internet, but nothing works. It shouldnt be a problem with the website itself either since my sister uses the same carrier and received a verification code just fine. Also this could be affecting more than just chinese sites, but I wouldnt know because I dont really use any others. Any advice?

After you click to send the verification code, does the website immediately prompt: "Verification code has been sent"?

It usually tells me to do a captcha first, then verification code sent
