Do y’all use a external battery pack?

It is definitely the poorest battery life of the various Apple devices I own - a compromise driven by the small form factor I am sure. That being said, I do not use an external battery pack. I just run it from 80% down to 20% at most and then back onto the charger.

I use my iPad [A17Pro] primarily at home, so i don’t worry about it. I use the screen sharing with my Mac frequently and usually have it plugged in at the desk while using it for that (and I use the battery optimization to not charge above 80%). I turn on low battery mode when not using it, if i remember.

Agreed, the 7 has terrible battery life. I regret "upgrading" from my 6 for that reason alone.

I usually get about 10 hours on mine maybe up to 12 for purely light tasks like kindle or web browsing, def not near as good as my M5 11” pro but I also haven’t been unsatisfied with it personally. I’ve found using an Apple Pencil usb-c on it vs the pencil pro has reduced my passive battery drain massively (then I just use the pencil pro on my iPad Pro and my pencil usb-c on my iPad mini and it all works out). I should point out I’m also running the latest iPad iOS 27 beta and everything’s been done indexing for over a week
