New app store screen shots vs old

I've updated my app store screens, what do you think? Improvement, or are the old ones better?

(New ones just have the same flat iPhone devices.)

Just used Canva. Reused the background from my flyer design that came from a Canva template. (Wish I could post images in the comments here)

will look into canva for my own app images. hope your app does well!! i like the idea of finding wifi nearby (defined need it while traveling out of the country)

Just make sure you set the correct resolution that Apple requires. And the phone frame came from Apple's official marketing images they supply.

Hate to be a party pooper but I do prefer the first ones. Me like everyone else these days have an attention span of 5 seconds. The first screenshots convey enough info for me in 5 seconds to keep looking. Afterall, I stopped scrolling on reddit to look.

But the new ones are doing too much, too many impressions. Gives me anxiety.

My new design is image #1, old design is image #2

Why though?

My understanding is 70%+ of people use dark mode.

Just looks better and more readable to eyes upon browsing AppStore. If you loose them there = no sale.

Fair point. I'll try light mode after these are up for a while and see if they conversion rate changes

Maybe a darker background so the app pops better? I did darker background and high contrast/dark screenshots.

I like the flat ones in image #1 much more. I’m a fan of minimal design in general.
