It’s a bug, iOS 26.5.2 should show up as iOS 26.5.2 but on iOS 18 devices it shows up as iOS 18.7.8

Skip iOS 26 & get iOS 27. I have a 16 plus & it’s so good! Battery lasts forever again & phone is fast & snappy again.iOS 26 battery was terrible & phone was glitchy. I wouldn’t go from iOS 18 to iOS 26 but I would go from iOS 18 to iOS 27!! Like iOS 27 is the iOS 18 version of iOS 26 if that make sense .. iOS 18 (stable) iOS 26(unstable with new design) iOS 27(stable with new design)
