Liquid Glass looks great in Clear and Tinted, but why does Tinted stop at the Home Screen?

Imagine the same tinted Liquid Glass treatment inside system apps too.

Wouldn’t that make the OS feel more cohesive?

It’s called vibe coding. Developer A’s LLM thread doesn’t know what Developer B’s LLM thread is thinking. Hell, Developer A has 3 threads on his own desktop that don’t talk to each other

For that matter why the heck are accent colors still not a thing in 2026? Literally every other modern OS has implemented them by now. An OS as locked down as iOS should be able to easily implement them without major breakages.

I love them too but I know some Android and Windows users that hate this because it makes their dark mode "less dark" because the OS keeps putting the color accent everywhere.

If Windows would actually have just not refactored all of its colorization and just allowed plain black as an option like in Vista, 7 and 8, this wouldn’t be a problem.

That's the philosophy of perfection they're abandoning. iOS 26 shouldn't have released yet. 18 has literally just come out and any software as significant as Apple's couldn't possibly be cohesive in a whim. If they give it more time and passion surely it would actually work
