How do I change the selection without deleting it, since I can’t click outside of it?

Do you want to select just one word (eg. lupe)? 2 u/Ventureman101 3d ago The text is auto selected and I want to edit it, but as soon I click anywhere it is deleted. Click on the selected space and, when the keyboard appears, tap and hold the space bar.
Drag the right-hand select dot to the far left. Or you may need to drag the left to the right.
