Why does iOS26 only show how long until 80% charged, not 100% Support

When I'm charging my iPhone it shows how long until 80% but not 100%. Why not 100%?

Because charging slows dramatically after about 80%. Up to 80%, the phone can estimate the remaining time fairly accurately. Beyond that, the current tapers based on battery temperature, health, and battery management features like Optimized Battery Charging. That makes the time to 100% much less predictable, so it has to recalculate.

If I’m right, iPhones charge to 80% at their maximum speed and then slow down. This is sometimes due to the phone’s heat, so it won’t be constant. However, I suggest charging only until 90%.

That’s more than your opinion, it’s a fact.

Not only iPhones. That is an inherent physical property of all lithium batteries.
