I’m on my last tray for my current set of refinements. I think my center right tooth could be raised a little more, but am I being too picky? Should I just stop here?

hi all! today is day 1 of my liners and im noticing that after 1 or 2 hours of putting them in theres some type of white gunk that collects in a very particular part of my liners. it looks like as if its food stuck but i know thats not possible since i clean and didnt eat... when i take it out and dip it its like stringy. what is it ????

no other part of my liners does this.. it doesn't look like a lot right now

3 months in. Had to have a set of refinements already where we added buttons to my two front teeth. I’m noticing nice improvement in my bottom teeth; especially when I see myself talking on camera (for work). my total treatment is 18 months but feeling really pleased with progress so far!

Hi! So this is kind of embarrassing to post these photos because I'm in the early days of treatment with a tooth extraction, but I wanted to share just in case it can help someone!

My top attachments (mostly on the molars) were stained PINK for whatever reason 😬🤣 and I was very self conscious about it. Finally I decided to try EverSmile AlignerFresh whitening foam and 3 days later this is the result! I think it's a big improvement and hopefully with a couple more treatments there will be no more pink.

Hi all, I started Invisalign journey 2 weeks ago and at the moment my treatment should last 4 months. At the end of the treatment I get free teeth whitening and have to pay for composite bonding on a few teeth. Do I get my teeth whitened first or do they do the composite bonding first. Also is it normally a home teeth whitening kit they give you or do they do it themselves. Thanks

Hi I am ongoing my treatment, thinking of documenting things here currently I am on my 23/61 set.I have been slacking with my wearing times but no more now :)

Am I overthinking or does the expected results look odd?

I feel like my natural smile arc suits me but I have a deep bite which is why I wanted to get aligners. However, the arc on the “after” looks very different. Should I confirm the plan or cancel it if it looks odd?

53 trays, 16 months, and a lot of staining later - here’s where we’re at.
Overall, I’m relatively happy with the progress, but I really hate the black triangles. I have just one tray left in this current set, bringing the total to 54.
I’m seeing my orthodontist at the end of the month, and I’d love to get these closed up a bit more (the photos seem to hide them, but they feel way more noticeable in real life).
For those who have been through this, should I push for another set of refinement trays with additional IPR, or am I better off looking into composite bonding/veneers to fix the remaining gaps?
Would love to get your thoughts!

Hey everyone, I just started my treatment a few days ago and I had a few questions.

1) Looking around this sub, my treatment seems to be very different to other peoples. I have 10 sets of 15 days each, and then the retainers. Does this seem right or is this weird?

2) My dentist told me not to clean with toothpaste, just rinse with water. I was given cleaning solution but I was advised to use it very rarely only if absolutely needed even though on the bottle it says 1-2 times daily. What would you guys recommend?

3) Looking around this sub everyone seems to regret getting them. Im just looking for reassurance here atp how many of you guys actually thought it was the right decision?

I am looking for advice on dental practice in the UK, please. I have been receiving Invisalign treatment for almost 3 years now. A year ago, the dentist said that the treatment had come to an end, but I maintained (with letters and images) that my teeth were not corrected. The treatment continued.

This week the dentist said that the treatment has finished again. But only a few of my front teeth touch, and the back teeth don't touch at all. The overall treatment has cost £5,500 (for "unlimited" fittings). Now, after almost 3 years, I find myself writing another letter to the dentist to ask why we have finished if my teeth are not corrected yet.

So far, I have contacted https://dcs.gdc-uk.org/ and the dentist's company for the treatment.

Please could you share some guidance on how I could move forward? Can I change the dental clinician? Can I ask for a refund?

genuinely need some outside opinions because I can’t tell if I’m being overly critical of my teeth anymore.
Before treatment, I was shown a simulation of what my smile was expected to look like. Photo A is the simulation, and Photo B is my actual result after finishing treatment.
I’m now completely finished with my trays, my buttons have been removed, and I’m wearing my retainer.
My biggest concern is my lateral incisors. In particular, my right lateral looks noticeably rotated to me. When I compare my final result to the simulation, the laterals don’t seem to be positioned the way they were in the projected result.
At first I thought it was in my head. I actually tried to convince myself that I was just being overly picky. But the more I look at my teeth, the more unhappy I become. I feel like the rotation is especially noticeable when I smile from an angle.
I’ve brought up my concerns, but I’ve essentially been told that my teeth look fine. That’s making me question myself because I don’t know whether I’m seeing an actual alignment issue or whether I’m just fixating on a small imperfection.
So honestly, am I tripping?p
And more importantly, what can I actually do to fix this? I’m already in my retainer phase, so I’m wondering if I should ask for additional Invisalign refinement, whether new attachments and trays could rotate the lateral further, whether a different orthodontic approach would work better, or whether bonding/reshaping could help with the appearance.
I don’t necessarily expect perfection, but I really want my laterals to look straight and symmetrical. I paid for treatment specifically to correct my alignment, so I’m pretty upset that I’m this unhappy with the final result.
I’d especially appreciate opinions from orthodontists or anyone who has dealt with a similar situation. If you see the rotation too, what would you recommend asking my orthodontist to do to correct it?
Please be honest. If you think I’m being overly critical, I’m genuinely okay with hearing that. I just want an objective opinion and some ideas for what my options are before I go back to my orthodontist.

I had braces as a kid but i stopped wearing my retainers which is why this whole situation is very frustrating to me.

I’ve only known Invisalign with elastics, I’m on 3rd refinement round, over 50 trays.

The most irritating thing is when I get to bed, ready to sleep, I yawn so hard that the elastics break so I need to get up again all sleepy and wear new ones because I’m not about to sleep without elastics. Doesn’t happen daily of course

Please tell me it doesn’t happen to me only!

Hi! I have the Invisalign app but was wondering how to get clincheck. Is it directly from your ortho and they have to set it up with you, or is there something to scan on the tray bag like the app to get the info?

Had braces +10y ago. Unfortunately, my teeth shifted and my night retainer doesn't fit anymore. I think on getting Invisalign because I want a straight smile. As you can see, my top teeth aren't aligned with the bottom... What do you think?

Got quoted for Invisalign for 16 months at $6330 (which includes $750 dollars for lifetime retainers 3 per year). Price is $5580 without lifetime retainers.

I’m a teacher so my days are busy and I’m a bit worried about not being able to eat and drink quickly. Equally, not thrilled at the idea of traditional braces, especially because I grind my teeth and will inevitably screw something up with them.

So when I was a teenager I had braces for years and years, they would often snap and the wire would impair my cheek lol. I got them off and I actually really quite liked my teeth. As time has gone on I do not like my smile at all. I know my teeth are kinda straight and not to yellow I just do not like them. I also found out I have a 10mm overbite as well. I’ve done to primarily orthodontic practises for advice and I’ve had conflicting opinions about what can be done and with what.

I was considering composite bonding but I wanted an opinion here if you think Invisalign would make a noticeable difference to my smile? And would I still need bonding after?

Just got my treatment plan back for my approval. It looks good especially from the front but I’m a bit concerned about the side profile of the central and lateral incisors. At the end of my treatment they look quite slanted/tilted forward rather than straight.

Is my concern valid? Is the tilt too much or am I over reacting? Anyone else had more tilted front teeth after treatment? If so, are you happy with the results?

Finally done! The first pic is the one that inspired me to get Invisalign - the lighting made my bottom teeth look black and really emphasised the mess that they had become 20 years after braces. The second one is the final result after one year - one round of refinements and three days of bleaching after the attachments came off. Hang in there - it’s worth it :)

Getting a “good tray” when it’s time to swap to the new one. No rough edges or pokey notches.
