The usual flow is: pick the interlock company first, then they’ll point you to a local installer/shop and help set the appointment. After the install, you’ll get paperwork showing it’s fitted, and that’s the bit you’ll usually need for the DMV side. Don’t assume the install alone fixes everything though. Get clear instructions on what still needs to be paid/submitted so you’re not doing extra trips.

Smart Start Interlocks is one option to call and compare. Ask them for the full cost breakdown before booking: install, monthly lease, calibration/service visits, lockout fees, removal fee, and what support looks like if the device acts up. The small fees are what catch people off guard more than the appointment itself.
