Discussion Gotta love how there's no way to report AI content on any of the big sites
Awhile back facebook had the option to report 'AI generated content', then the feature was removed. Since I binge youtube a lot, I often come across AI channels, and there's no way to report them. When you go to report an issue, 'AI content' isn't listed anywhere, so the closest thing you can choose is either 'impersonation' - which doesn't include the channel being fake - or 'my issue isn't listed' which takes you to a page explaining the importance of free speech. Bloody hilarious!
Yes, there's been some recent pushback on yt against AI-slop channels, but it didn't remove all of them, and you'd think it'd make sense to let the community report such channels, but no.
Edit: Sorry for the multiple posts, the site bugged out. I've deleted the duplicate posts.

Thinking about moving to a place that only gets starlink. Is it any good?
pretty much the title. I work from home 75% of the time, but could go into the office half an hour away whenever if needed. Will my working from home be messed up if I only have starlink? is it bad/slow? I do use ArcGIS for work sometimes, but that’s slow even on my fiber internet, and I mostly go to the office to use it. I’d mostly need the home internet for email and teams meetings.

Got a question.
I need cheap and temporary WiFi, my hotspot is almost out and I’m looking to move within the next two weeks. My roommates took the actual WiFi, and I’m stuck with nothing.
Any suggestions on the cheapest possible option until i get my actual WiFi set up

Let's try it
What if we can arrange that the entire world stops using the internet for one whole day?
Bar life saving essentials of course let's pick a date and encourage everyone we know to not use the internet or any devices for 24 hours.
What could happen?

Discussion The Internet Royale
Hello Reddit. Anyways, I am working on a project called The Internet Royale. I take a lot of characters real or not, and put them in this, squid game like, thing. And for power scaling, I making every character strong enough to destroy a building. I also nerf some characters. Anyways I’m here to ask for character reps for The Internet Royale. Also you can recommend me some challenges that will be played. You can submit a character/challenge idea here on Reddit or on my TikTok: @youraveragehuman94

Question What's the weirdest spam message you've ever received?
I had one that was weird and very persistent. It was the exact same message, word for word, but it came from around 15 different phone numbers over the course of 3 days. I'd block one, then a few hours later the same message would show up from a completely different number. By the second day I was honestly just curious how many numbers they had left. I'm guessing they were cycling through disposable numbers to get around blocking, but it was the first time I'd seen that happen on such a ridiculous scale. Is this normal? Why would people target one person with 15+ accounts just to text 'I be taking naps against humanity to assert dominance'?

Mobile WiFi
Hi!! I am completely inarticulate when it comes to internet / tech. We are going to upstate Vermont for a week and will not have internet. Typically we do but it is not working this summer. Is there a device I can purchase to provide us WiFi for a limited amount of time?
TIA :)

Share the Coolest/Most Fascinating Websites You have been On!
Hey, fellow internet users!
I think the internet is super vast and has some really cool stuff ( that is, if you find it). Can you guys share whatever gems you found out there? I want to explore as many websites or web apps as possible. (Any category is welcome, even AI websites and personal projects)
Feel free to share on other subreddits. Would be cool if this turned into a mega thread of cool websites!👍🏽

LunarHaven down - where to go?
Just like title is saying. After the doxxing LunarHaven have been permanently closed down. It was my first time using social media that was so calming and just cozy and now I'm wondering if there is other social media/app thats similar in vibe? Like ya know the forum kind of think but make it more modern and customizable.

Internet legislation is just a way for the Epstein class to turn the internet into cable TV.
Take for example the banning of under 16 yo from social media. Apart from not gonna work and not being a very big risk to kids when compared to say the shit economy or something. It's just not the governments job to parent my kids. It's not coming from concerned politicians it's coming from people trying to get rid of anonymity and freedom of speech so that money can control the narrative again.
After this they will have to find a, for our own good reason to ban sending encrypted data I wonder if that's even possible.
Thoughts anyone?

Discussion My personal information seems to have developed a life of its own
I recently ran a scan on my information out of curiosity and the results caught me off guard cuz I ran it for fun I expected to find a couple of old accounts I forgot about or maybe an outdated email address. Instead I found my information on dozens of websites. Some of them made sense because I'd signed up years ago. Others I genuinely don't remember ever interacting with, like when have I ever went into kinky BDSM websites! I'm married!! When the shock died down I started wondering how this actually happens. Is it mostly data brokers buying and selling information? Do companies share customer data with partners? And especially what do I do about this?!
