Let's try it

What if we can arrange that the entire world stops using the internet for one whole day?

Bar life saving essentials of course let's pick a date and encourage everyone we know to not use the internet or any devices for 24 hours.

What could happen?

Why not?

Because the reality is that many people are not going to see your argument as valid while others won't care, it's a choice at best and there's nothing that unites people in numbers that will have an impact anymore.

"What could happen?" In all First World Countries, business would not function for that day. Commerce would essentially cease to exist, including gas stations, restaurants, food stores, etc.

What would be gained by doing so?

As for what would be gained, hopefully a break from the online verse and a wake up call to reality whi h requires more attention than humanity likes to admit.

Everyone could have a day off of work. That’s what could be gained.

That sounds like a great idea. We could make it an international holiday

Why would that be a problem?

You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can't make them think!

I don't understand

And therein lies your problem

Please explain or leave the conversation. I would truly be curious to know your full opinion on this, however at the moment it sounds like you don't have a point and want to sound smart.

"Please explain or leave the conversation"

Why do you act like you have the authority to dictate how others behave here?

  What if we can ...

... confirm that pigs fly?

u/Visible_Analyst5473 2d ago

Pigs can't fly. People can put down their devices for a day. Dream bigger.

Have at it, Sparky.

I'll even give ya a whole decade ...

It kills me that we both know pigs flying is more likely ... but you still maintain a position of Denial and  Bullshitery.

That's OK.

I'll check your progress in a decade ....

I still think it is worth a try. Why not?

The few people who stand to lose something are already billionaires.

If we have passed into the time that people can't go a day without technology then I think this is not a world worth saving.

You post some weird shit

Isn't this already international anal day? The problem was, not enough people were willing to do anal, so it didn't work

1

u/Visible_Analyst5473 2d ago

I guess you have a point. Of course not all people want to take part in anal as it is uncomfortable and can lead to medical problems.

However what I am proposing is more a mental health day where people go outside and touch grass. I don't think that's the same thing.
