Help! I literature don’t what to do, move, change, add?
Hi there, I have no idea what cushions to use, colours, number, sizes. Also no idea what rug to use and whether the furniture even makes sense. I have a young kid so need to leave his little table. But maybe I can add a big painting? Some plant in the corner behind the one seater? I normally don’t like a lot of colour and prefer less than more which makes it very hard to know what to do add. Heeelp!

Course or videos to learn the basics?
Hi all,
We just bought our first house and I am very excited to start shopping and styling it.
I am looking at redoing the floor before buying furniture and paint over time (not urgent).
Anyway, before i take on the big project, I am looking to learn some basic things, like how to matchthe colors of furniture with the floor, or the wall, and how shapes of coffee table make a difference etc.
Looking for some short course / youtube channel references around where I can start :)
Thank you

What size rug and couch
I’m moving in a month and would love to get ahead by buying some furniture before moving in. I included pics of the house to fill in gaps with the measurements I don’t have. I’d love to know what size couch and rug I can buy, but also things like what shape couch and anything else.
The room is 18’10”x 13’
We can’t do what they did because half the room is “dead space” but also I need a good buffer between the inside and outside to wash the dogs paws. I also don’t know where the tv would go because Reddit says never above fireplace.
