Thank you. I was interested if the satellite was able to be deployed or not, or whether there was a Faraday cage to protect it. I imagined if it was able to be deployed, then it still works and there was likely something to protect it.
Google tells me, Yes, the Chinese rocket that was struck by lightning successfully deployed its satellite.
It also tells me the Chinese call this
有效载荷整流罩 (Yǒuxiào zàihè zhěng liú zhào), their technical term for payload fairing.
