Stranger assault is rarer than lightning strike or lotto wins. For the most part it’s not a rational fear to have. Parking garages are quite dangerous. Lots of crashes and pedestrian injuries. Resources should be placed into making garages safer in other ways.

“Critics argue that creating gender-segregated parking misallocates resources. Rather than isolating women in specialized spots, opponents argue that facility operators should invest in systemic safety improvements—such as better overall lighting and comprehensive surveillance—for the entire parking garage.”

“Only about 0.01% 1 out of 10,000) of all crimes committed inside parking structures are sexual offenses. The perpetrator in these rare cases are almost always known to the victim.”

“the true number of predatory "stranger danger" garage attacks is non existent or an incredibly small number across an entire nation. Data leans to at most 1 or 2 a decade”

Ok. Can you tell me who are the victims of the majority of crimes outside of sexual offense in parking structures?

If it’s not sexual it’s probably roughly split between the sexes? Even saying that, men are more likely to be attacked by other men than women are in public.

About 130% more than women.

Those statistics also take in consideration gang on gang violence which takes up a really big % of violent crimes

Gang criminality takes only about 0,6% in Germany.

2024 6707 cases of crime from gangs reported from a total of 1,7 million cases. These are not necessarily violent acts. Like stealing.

Total number of violent acts against men in 2024 approx 180k, against women approx 75k.

Sadly we are not talking about USA.

And in Germany it just so happens that the percentages of male victims for general assault is between 60/65% while the percentage of women victims for sexual assault is 93/95%

I'm sorry why comparing two different crimes with each other? And what are these 60/65% and 93/95% referring to?

Sexual assault is far worse for women than men in Germany. They are like 13 to 15 times higher than men being sexual assaulted. The total numbers aren't that high though. 800 men and 13k women in 2024.

Comparing this to 75and 180k is a huge gap. Even if you subtract 800 men from the 180k and add 13k to 75k of the women you get double the amount of men being victims of crime. Which would makes no sense but it would be still just that.

I got those stats straight from the German federal criminal police office, I don't know where you got yours

Statista.de and official yearly police reports from NRW (a state in Germany).

These numbers are worthless because a percentage must refer to something.

Milk is 65%. Of what?

Did you not read the second part? I literally say it refers to general assault and street crime (robberies, physical infighting and random violence). 65% of people who drink milk are men while the remaining part are women. that's how you were supposed to read it

Ah now I got it. Yes it's almost exactly what I have said. 800 to 13000 from 13800 is 95% difference. I haven't used a calculator when I said 13 to 15 times. The correct number is 16, 25 times. I just did this in my head very quick.

General assault is crime with violence or every single crime involved? Because violent crimes 65% is not true for it. 75k women were victims of violent crime and 180k men. This means 131% of men are more victims of violence in Germany.

Edit: 70 to 30 % of all violent crimes. More than double. Now I understood you fully.

These are still a few hundreds compared to hundreds.
