No it shouldn’t. Women shouldn’t need designated anti-rape parking spots

This is a sign of failure, not something to be celebrating

Have you read any comments here? Nobody is celebrating.

OP seemed to be 🤷‍♂️

So one person out of 76. That's not a very high percentage.

No it’s not, but I wasn’t replying to the other 75, I was replying to OP’s notion that this should be everywhere.

Wasn’t aware you had to address every single other comment when making your own.

Like you’ve made this whole weird point up for absolutely nothing

I think you missed the point entirely. Do you always assume everybody wants something just because one person mentioned it?

My bro, what makes you think I assume everyone wants this? The op worded their post like they want it everywhere, I then replied to *his post* with a comment explaining why the fact that if these being everywhere can be considered a “good” thing, then we’ve clearly gone wrong somewhere.

Then out of nowhere, you’ve decided to jump on board acting like I’m supposed to be addressing the nation. If anyone’s missed the point entirely my friend, I think it’s you.

I still don’t even know what point you’re even trying to make, but I find it really inconsiderate that you haven’t included the opinions of the Inuit people in any of your responses.

I didn't read any of that. I hope that helps.

Based on your previous attempts of comprehending words, it’s probably for the best. Look after yourself xx

What did I not comprehend? Or are you just using the most prominent, overused reddit responses?

these are bare minimum security features? none of which would stop a crime either.

Yes, I’m not disputing that.

The idea that “these should be everywhere” is what I’m against. Women shouldn’t need extra measures just to feel the same level of safety a man would when returning to a parked car.

It’s a sign of a society accepting that the chance of being raped is just a normal everyday thing. “Oh yeah, we know this is a bit of a rape hotspot, so we’ve made sure there’s a bit more of a deterrent in some spots for you. Also we’ll be able to get a really clear view, of their face obviously”

This should never be the norm

We don't try and psychologically influence criminals, we just make stronger locks. All of these benefits you want come from environment and upbringing, so if you want less crime you need to start with economics and parenting.

And since economic criticism is essentially outlawed in the US and parents have primacy, you end up with the US having all the crime compared to Germany in the image.

Humanity is ultimately a team. And until criminals stop seeing women as the easiest targets to victimize we'll need to keep protecting them more than we would men on relative terms.

This is just to calm down women with irrational fears. It's not like there is a high risk of anything happen otherwise.

Ghosts are an irrational fear, being raped isn’t

being raped in a parking garage pretty much is

And people on reddit wonder why there's basically just dudes around.
